Re: Skipping with BFS Reels
Anyone can skip with any baitcaster provided the user sufficiently skilled. However, some reels do the job for you allowing just about anyone to easily and effortlessly skip. It's fun to watch some Shimanos skip but I wonder how much of that is the pro angler. I can skip with BPS PQ Doyo dual brake...

Re: Skipping with BFS Reels
For those who think Shimanos are poor at skipping. https://youtu.be/sY5SBlDMXFE That first beautiful pitching skip is courtesy of the Aldebaran BFS XG. Chronarch MGL is also shown skipping quite easily in this video I watched that video previously and it is impressive! You can skip with Shima...

Re: Steez SV TW. no clicking tension knob?????
If you read the instruction manual for the Daiwa SV reels, they all recommend you to set the tension knob to where there is no side to side movement of the spool. They are really pushing that with the new tension knob.jigapig wrote:They don't want you to adjust your reel?.Ha?Confused

They are like that because Daiwa don't want you to mess with it.

Re: Metanium MGL- Play in handle?
There is a small play with AR bearing that Shimano uses, and I am guessing you don't mean that. A proper spacer will fix that problem.

Re: Shimano Conquest HG 200 line capacity
They are the same size. 12lb line in US is rated .330 mm where real 12 lb line is actually .285mm... People put what ever they want for their line rating in the US lol

It's a glass composite regular stick. It's pretty light for glass composite, but its still a glass composite... I wouldn't shelf out top dollars for one.

Re: Stella or new vanquish
Difference between New Vanquish and Stella. Vanquish is ultra light and easy to turn, Stella is more solid under heavy load due to construction. I would go with Vanquish for freshwater anyday.

Re: Ultralight BFS rod vs Trout rod Comparison
Great write up! Trout rod will never do the job that true BFS rod does because of the taper and power for me. As long as you have good spool and breaking system, you will get the lure out there.

Re: 2016 Steez SV TW spool question.
Are you using it for saltwater? Even then you honestly don't need more than 100 meter with BCs
