Re: Daiwa Project T 2020
Does anyone think Daiwa will do something crazy like a TWS Alphas or Pixy?
What about a re-release of an SV103/Zillion?

Re: Daiwa Project T 2020
I am seeing a lot of “we get this and we get that”. Unless you are in Japan... you haven’t gotten anything yet. The Australian crowd gets something different. The USDM models haven’t even been released yet. Sure you can order from Japan. My guess is the Steez Air is a Japan release only And they ap...

https://youtu.be/jRw_USlFJNM Yay more spiders... Well at least they didn't say if it wasn't 10:1 i would've missed the fish... Its meme-worthy to joke about, I joked about it too. I have been and have seen situations where a fast reel is the difference. Jumping out the most to me was when my buddy ...

Re: SV or DC Casting Jerks/Cranks Into Wind
I like the Zillion SV for distance and control. Not as restricted as the SV103 (either type) and gets a good amount of control Thanks buddy, Zillion SV is def an option. "Restricted" is a good descriptor of what my SV103 felt like...despite that, it was a great reel. Now resting on the bottom of th...

Re: Daiwa Project T 2020
9:1? Ugh. Finesse fishing is usually about slow! Don't forget that the spool is really small. 9,1:1, that's 80cm/crank. Comparing to the Steez 1016 SV TW SH 7,1:1 75cm/crank. The 6,8:1 gear is very slow: 60cm/crank. Finessing plastics is about the rod. The speed to pick up slack line as fast as pos...

Re: SV or DC Casting Jerks/Cranks Into Wind
SV had always worked for me. A quick adjustment of the brake dial and thats all you need. You may still need to use your thumb a little, will give you a little more distance. A little thumb is fine, thanks! Are there some SV platforms more suitable for distance than others? I will probably never sk...

it looks to be the same seat used on either the heartland or the old tds seat. is the air sensor the newer fuji pts-type seat? i'm probably going to assemble a rod this winter, and got 1 of those in. i'm pretty sure i can be happy with it from the initial feel of it. It's my understanding that the ...

Re: Shimano ftb braking adjustment
I dont remember mine having letters. I also have an Aldebaran BFS and a Scorpion BFS. The N I presume would mean north. Reel magnets generally dont have a power difference without there being a noticeable size difference (if the magnets came in the same box). The magnets will "snap" themselves into ...

Re: Show off your BFS Casting Reels
My greatest wish is for me to “be OK” with mixing ABU/Daiwa/Shimano reels and rods - it would make my life easier and my wallet thicker... Same here. I have wished for that same thing many times. Since I swap reels from Shimano to Daiwa and back so often I've had to resort to only buying rods that ...
