My favorite if I had to pick just one rod for all my baitcasting would be a 6'6" MH rod.
6'9" and 7' are rapidly becoming my choice application specific rods though.

Re: Bass Boat and a Helmet
Two months ago when we were fishing on the delta as we were changing locations we were heading down a slough at around 45mph when we were headed for some birds, and these little guys didn't move until the last minute. A few of the birds came barralling right between Jip and I and one of them actuall...

An awesome combo Boone, that is a excellent setup for a really wide range of applications. Good choices.
Looking forward to hear your first impressions back from the field.

Re: Question About ISE Show
Hi Ghost,
If you are going to the show to make any major purchases go towards the end, it may be cowded but the guys are usually much more inclined to cut you a deal on a show special just so they don't have to haul it home.

Nice Report Seasickness,

Headed to the North end and fished for an hour with very little action, the wind pic...

Re: Uvas Lake
There is some action to be had on Uvas, and the biggest fish I have caught off there have been right off the dam. I put my bass boat in there once and went straight trolling but it really wasn't worth it considering I do just as good if not better from shore. Biggest fish out of there for me is just...
