You may want to take line brand, size and type into the equation if you're talking suspending baits as well.

Re: Daiwa Completes Their Suite with the Tatula Casting Rods
Steez rod performance(non compile -X),now we are talking :D 13 Fishing has some mainstream competition.. The SVF Steez are great rods looking, light and well constructed, but the sensitivity was sub par in my hands. My 6'7" SVF Steez had the sensitivity of a Dick''s Tech Spec rod. A real disap...

Re: 2013 Bait-the-Finesse Finale : Daiwa T3 Air
Great review. BUT- I still cant commit to going complete finesse in a BC. I need to think my dropshot and shakey head presentations are better served by my stellas and opus acquisitions. That and I can skip wacky rigged worms with a spincaster far easier than with a BC. I dont want to believe u don...

Good review. The IVCB took some time but eventually grew on me. Overall, a fine piece of equipment.

Re: The Re-REVOlution Begins, First Look at the 2013 Revo
http://theblackberryalarmclock.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/yawn-258x300.jpg Funny, that's exactly I how feel about daiwa & shimano's current lineup. Shimano went the budget route, trying to be the McDonald's of freshwater baitcasters and every reel in daiwa lineup (with the exception of $500...

Re: Is the Revo MGX the New Lightweight King?
Just my opinion. The MGX is a finesse baitcaster as much as the Steez. This was really the target. Cant imagine why anyone compares the MGX with the Pixy. To do such comparison, Abu provided the LTX. Addressing the drag of the MGX with max at 5 lb, if compared with the 8lb of the Steez or Pixy whic...

Re: Is the Revo MGX the New Lightweight King?
Just a quick update on my max drag tests: 1. You may want to check your drag washers to confirm there is no oil or grease. Clean and dry if necessary. AND 2. GENTLY turning/twisting the drag star, one click at a time --- you will know when you reach the limit --- I was able to lock it down pretty s...

Re: Is the Revo MGX the New Lightweight King?
Well, I did some testing myself and here are my results. My test: I placed my line over an aluminum tube like a pulley for a 4' total distance between spool and Berkley digital scale. I was alone so I improvised, didn't measure drag off the end of a rod. MGX Reel 1, Test 1: 16lb Shooter Metan Invis...
