Any idea where these rods are made and who makes them?

Infinitely curious here...
Made in China, like almost everything else from Pure Fishing.
I think the reels are Korea and Sweden, last time I checked.

On a related note, are you old enough what I was talking about if I asked if you were doing a "Rick Nielson" impersonation holding all of those rods in that one pic?

I've been using O.S.P. products for many years. I haven't tried this one ... yet but I guess I'm going to have to now.

Re: A Prop Bait Not for Spying but Topwater! The X-Plose Topwater by Megabass

One of my favorite topwater baits from back in the day was the Smithwick Devil's Horse, Fire Coach Dog pattern. It's been a lotta years since then. The X-Plose reminds me of that bait, some of the same "Cons" and all. I may have to pick up one or two. Just for old time's sake.

Re: Abu Garcia's Ring Leader, the Villain 2

The ACS seat seems like an odd choice for an Abu rod. I have found that the discomfort some feel with the ACS seat is caused by reels with large main gears. As the middle finger tries to nestle into its grove on the seat the tip of the finger encounters the crank case before the rest of the finger ...

Re: The Ultimate Conquest - by Shimano Japan

I may have missed it in the review BUT did they resize the old Conquest 100 or is this reel the same size as the old 100? Thanks, j the palming side is much smaller than the og conquest, similar to the old 50. CQ51 vs new CQ101 https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7687/16980126067_76c98f7f24.jpg Thanks!

Re: Product Insight : Zillion TWS a.k.a. Tatula Z?

A few years ago I asked if there was a change at Daiwa, a "buy out" or something. Something beyond the logo change. With the movement of manufacturing from Japan to Thailand and "Red" China, it has been confirmed. As it inevitiably does, the bean counters have taken the company ...
