Re: Yen Yen (Yen)
If you could forecast currency movements you could become a multi-millionaire so quickly that the price of a rod or two would be pocket change!
Since there is no way to tell if the yen is going to go up, down or sideways, it isn't even worth thinking about.

Re: Five Footers
So how short is too short?
I've got a 3'9" Tenryu Rayz LL rod coming. I've got some small brookie streams in mind for it but I have never used a rod anywhere close to that length before.

Ordered some trout magnets and mini magnets after seeing the OP. Didn't notice the Trout Slayers, though. Now I'm going to have to place another order!

Re: Shipping back to Japan
EMS is just Express Mail Service. Each country has their own. In the US it is the US Postal Service Priority Mail Express International, so if you can find a post office, you can find an EMS outlet :D First Class International is much less expensive than "Priority Mail International," which is much ...

Re: Something new for this year ...
The size 6 looks about right, but did you try different sizes? I have been buying the size 12 (with the horizontal eye - Cultiva SBL35 for fly tying) and I would definitely say it is too small, but I wonder about the size 8. Definitely let us know how they work out for you. I think they make a lot o...

Re: Who is using BFS casting gear for trout/panfish
Dalleinf, are you not allowed to wade or is the water too deep?
I live in the northeastern US and here the streams are so overgrown that if you don't wade there are very few spots where you can make a cast.
