Re: Which is your favorite rod company?
It's a tie for me between G. Loomis and Megabass.
I've yet to have a rod for either company that I didn't really enjoy fishing with.

Re: I-Cast---2015
Can we please get an 844 NRX already [-o< Love my GLX version, an NRX would be amazing. Just can't understand why they would leave this one out. 855 as well please. And an 843 as well. The MBR series were such really good all around rods. I love the GLX MBR's that I have. Would get an NRX tha...

Re: NRX JWR 852C or NRX MRB 842C
The MBR rod will cover more applications. I have the NRX 853c and it is great for soft plastics and jigs. While I haven't used an NRX MBR rod, the GLX MBR rods that I have are great for a number of applications--I use those for nearly everything within the stated lure range; I prefer slower rods for...

Re: Megabass Evoluzion Griffon
Thanks for the replies. I just ordered one from the Tackletrap. It'll be my first Megabass rod. I'm really looking forward to getting it. It'll actually be the first Megabass rod I have seen in person. I had wanted a Super Eiger, but wanted something sooner than July. It won't be your last. ;) Cong...

Re: Sunline FX2 opinions?
i've always had great luck w/ power pro, but after switching to fx2 theres absolutely no comparison!! the sunline is hands down better in every way you'd want it to be. the only negative is it does bleed quite a bit out of the box but after a couple outings it will stop. i just make sure first day ...

Re: Wake Baits?
Calm flat water makes waking very exciting but I'll use them even in a chop as most of these are pretty loud. Also keep one rigged up when you're fishing topwater, one of my best days was when the bass would boil on a spook, I tried a popper and no luck so I gave the wake bait the nod and it did th...

Re: My TDZ platform collection project
Very nice, buddy! I think that I hear a TD Ito calling my name. Do it! I'll keep my eyes open for a righty that's in MINT condition. I'm picky when it comes to stuff like that. 8-[ Looking for one of those too. Had my finger twitching on the buy it now button a ...

My first thought as well.

Re: Wake Baits?
So, sounds like the Evergreen Rat a Tat is so-so? That's a fair assessment. I rarely use them anymore. Yes, the Deps. If you haven't figured it out, make sure you keep your rod tip high when you start your retrieve, then progressively lower as the lure comes in. It's all about angle of pull, otherw...

IMA rumba Jackall Cherry Also, there is are a few guys on Ebay that sell custom painted wakebaits similiar to the Jackall ones. Really great quality and paint jobs. I have a few and they all produced well.. Are they just stripping the bait off of a Jackall Cherry and then custom painting it or is i...

Re: Wake Baits?
I've never really fished wake baits much, but want to give them a try this year. I have a few from Lucky Craft. I am also curious about the Evergreen Rat a Tat, that looks bulky and small. I have a couple Rat a Tat's. The portly body makes it hard to get trebles stuck, prompting yours truly to upsi...
