Re: Inline Spinners
Although I bought a 1/2 oz spinner with the intention of fishing it for bass I don't think I ever used it. They are my go-to for trout & panfish though. I always have one tied on one of my UL setups. My favorite are white, black & yellow Rooster Tails in 1/16 or 1/8 sizes but I have all brands and c...

Re: Post Your weirdest catch ever
The only inanimate object i've ever caught was old fishing line. Not very exciting. Weirdest fish catch was probably this 4" tiger musky I caught in a swamp on a 1.5" tube jigging for bluegill on my lunch break.

Rarenium vs Twin Power decision
So i'm looking into a spinning setup for weightless plastics. Mostly 3, 4 and 5" senkos. Will likely be going with a Dobyns 703SF unless there's anything better under $300. I was originally looking at a 2500 Stradic FJ but i'd like to get the weight down a little more. I'm having trouble deciding be...

Re: 2015 line ups
Some new purchases along with some swapping around with old stuff and I have this so far. Still would like to add one more combo for weightless plastics this year (Dobyns 703SF / Stradic 2500) Spinning: Bass Pro Shops Micro Lite ML56ULS / Shimano Sahara 1000FD G.Loomis TSR 791S / Shimano Cardiff Ci4...

Re: Multi species day ...
Multi species days are always fun. I had a couple over the last few weeks on the ultra light. Smallmouth, largemouth, white perch, yellow perch, black crappie, bluegill, rock bass and suckers. I could have done without the suckers though. Those things creep me out when they start gagging when you're...

Re: What's your shakeyhead set up?
I don't have a dedicated shakey head rig either but i've also been looking into getting one. Pretty sure i'm going to end up going with a Dobyns 703SF / Pflueger Patriarch 9530.

Re: New 2013 combos
Excellent work...beautiful backdrop and water color in your neck of the woods. Thanks for sharing. Thanks! I think i'm pretty lucky to live in the middle of the NYC water supply system. Plenty of water to fish around here. Here's a couple more fish from earlier this month. Unfortunately I haven't b...

Awesome! At least every time you look at those chips on your new reel there will be a good memory behind it.

Re: Your "GO TO" Setup?
Since I always throw a spinnerbait every time i'm out my Falcon Cara 6'6 / Bantam Chronarch 100 is always with me. I always have my 6' St. Croix Avid UL / Sahara 1000 with me too for pannies.

Re: A non-fancy USDM step up
rt dak, You know, now that the Monkey is chewing on you, we expect to see "A fancy USDM step up" next! Now, let us know how it fished. Fishes great, really hurls the baits farther than I ever could before. I've never had such a lightweight combo, balances nicely. I have since bought another C...

Re: Tackle Bag - Non Boater
I have the blue BPS bag in the first post. I bought it mainly because it's a backpack so it leaves my hands free to carry my rods. I holds a lot, much more than you'll need for a day on the water. I have five 370 sized boxes, probably 25 bags of worms and soft plastics, 6 spools of line, all sorts o...
