Nice pike . I fish for them from October through March. So far this season I've banked 60 fish, but none in double digits.........yet .

I like the look of those. I use their Buster glide baits for pike. Quality is top notch.

The Pixy definately appears to be the choice for UL. I have a Core 51Mg7, admittedly not used for UL and can't fault it. I'm throwing baits in the 25g - 60g range for pike, and it does it with aplomb.

Ouch, that had to hurt. Last time it happened to me the hook point just penetrated the bone. Doc's forceps couldn't touch it so it was out to the car for the Leatherman. Still stuck, so out came the scalpel :cry: . A quick slice, a twist the Leatherman and I had my lure back :D . Back on the water 1...

Is Daiwa Shinobi braid the same as the Daiwa Samurai braid available here? As far as I know, they are two different braids. Must admit, although the Shinobi is a bit noisy through the guides, I do like it. Another plus is that in 50lb, 100yds exactly fills the Komodo, so I get 3 fills from one spoo...
