Re: New Powell Endurance line coming

A Powell Endurance rod was what put me off of split grip casting rods forever. I guess the bright side of rod companies pumping out almost identical versions of the same rods(with the same cookie cutter split grips) is that it makes it easy for me to chose rods. For nice full grip rods, I'm pretty m...

Re: Daiwa Tatula elite Brent Ehler

Man, you aren't getting any love in this thread . I can't offer anything, never fished any of the tatula rods but have looked at the full grip cranking models a few times. I struggle with the looks if I'm being honest. I don't dislike em, they look really futuristic. Just... not my style I gues...

Re: Megabass Orochi XX... What’s next for the USDM??

Thanks! An OG Fuego might be too Xmas-like. :( https://i.pinimg.com/originals/fe/1a/79/fe1a79fd9b1586d47c83b302f427e690.jpg I think an ito would look pretty sick on one of these actually. All the contrasting colors & textures, the vivid colors combined with the earth tones... I think it'd be a ...

Probably a little dorky but I love how that green braid matches the green guide wraps. Such a perfect cohesion. Those new XX rods are beautiful imho.

Re: Megabass Orochi XX... What’s next for the USDM??

got on the water for a few hours with them and the conditions honestly lead to the use of the diablo spec r the most and it is to me anyway a true fast action with the power coming from the 3rd lower end of the blank. I was throwing a 3/8 oz swim jig and boated 4 fish one being a 4 lber. The rod is...

Re: Megabass Orochi XX... What’s next for the USDM??

got 3 of mine today. 1. whipsnake spinning rod, this rod is great going to be a really good dropshot rod or anything in the smaller finesse realm the rod is light and the tip is semi soft but not too soft. reminds me of the addermine with a little less power. 2. Diablo spec R I did not own the prev...

Re: NEW Megabass Sonic Side crank

Looks alright, but I think megabass could put treble hooks on a dingleberry and this forum would get excited  . I actually haven't had much success with megabass crankbaits compared to other cranks I use. So this being a megabass product doesn't weigh into my interest. What does is its des...

Re: Zillion Type R to Zillion TWS

I'm tending to thing the same, re the Type R's, but was thinking TWS might do better than my SV103 on Frog/Casting setups... But sticking with Type R's on the pitching and flipping rigs... If TT had the Zillon G1 spools available I would just pick up a few of those :crying: There's the issue right ...

Re: Shimano Loomis Conquest rods

How does the Conquest 903 compare to the NRX 893?

I know the 893 is one of the most well loved rods in the NRX lineup- could the conquest 903 be a suitable replacement?

Looks like it but in the video he says it's a 6.4 gear ratio, and there's no dc whine.

From what Ive heard, I think they are supposed to bring a new "Core" to the line

That would definitely fit the bill

Re: ish frog rod vs omori pitching stick

He might have meant softer tip. Makes sense for a frog rod to have a softer tip than a pitching/flipping stick, as some prefer a softer tip for walking/open water frogs
