Re: NRX 852c

I use mine with tubes, flukes, small plastic swimbaits, light Texas rigs, and whacky rigs in light to no cover.

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

Is the frame smaller or just the spool? I have a 1012 which is great. If the frame is a touch smaller, it would be a Pixy SV TW, which I’ve been waiting for?

Re: Jig Rod Recomendation

If I could only pick one for football jigs and pitching jigs, it would be NRX 894. Hands down the best 1/2 oz pitching jig rod I've ever used. I personally like the 893 for just football jigs in deep water but the 894 will cover both techniques. What size football jigs are you using with the 893? 3...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

I'm going to pre-order one when I see them posted online. I think it will go well with my MB X7 Super Eiger.

Re: Help choosing NRX

I own 893, 873, and 894 and they all coexist nicely on the front desk. The 893 is for lighter texas rigs (3/16 to 1/4 oz weight + bait) and 5" Senko's. The 873 is for texas rigs (1/4 oz to 3/8 oz weight + bait). The 894 almost always has a 1/2 oz jig tied on. If I'm throwing a football jig, I like t...

Re: Kietech 4" Swing Impact

Been a while since the original post. I did very well with the Easy Shiner on schooling smallies last year. I was catching them from 6 ft to 30 ft deep. I rig them on a jig head and pop them off the bottom. I got into one school and caught 50+ fish in about an hour. I usually find them with a jerkba...

I love the Super Eiger too. I throw light plastics and small swimbaits on it.

Re: Daiwa SV103 or 50th Anniversary opinions

I have both. If your keeping them stock, than I would go with the SV103. If you can find a TDZ 100M spool to put in the 50th, that would make the choice harder.

Re: Which 12 pound fluro to get?

I use sniper fc and invisix on my moving rigs.  But for my more finesse rig I want the absolute 'best' FC line.  What I am hearing so far is: * Tatsu: very good manageability, has some stretch (less thatn Invisix?!)  * Shooter: not as good in manageability as Tatsu but is more sensitive Thoughts? I...

Re: Megabass Orochi XXX snapped

I had a similiar issue with the of my replacements and decided to wait. If it's a rod you really like, I say wait. If not, go for the upgrade.

Re: Megabass Orochi XXX snapped

Hit up Gary, I'm sure he'll take care of you X2 X3. Gary will let you know who to get a hold of. I never had a warranty problem with a MB rod purchased through Tackle Trap that is less than 1 year old. I broke an X4 Black Elseil and had a destruction with a lock down nut that came unglued. Both wer...
