Re: Jackall Rerange 110

SG Threadfin. I was fishing Rising Sun last Sunday. The water was 47 - 49 degrees and the males were up in 4 to 6 feet range. No females yet but I suspect with the warm weather this week, they will pull up. Wow I grew up on that gem of a lake...now I'm up north jersey, was fishing 42-44F water, HL ...

Re: Jackall Rerange 110

I fished the Jackall Rerange 110 last Sunday and was impressed. I also fished a MB 110 and both baits caught the same number of bass. The Jackall casts very well. It makes a pretty loud click when casting. The tungsten ball inside breaks free from the magnet and travels to the tail causing the clic...

Re: The most UNDER rated..

I'm not sure how the production rods are but I have a custom built on a K2 blank and it is every bit as sensitive as NRX, Zbone, and MB X7's that I have but lighter. Very impressive!

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

Well, it's officially up on TW. $700!!! https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiwa_Steez_CT_SV_Casting_Reels/descpage-DSCS.html The real question is why you would buy one in the US when you can order it from Japan for $225 cheaper? I think we will see these on the USDM market for a year or so an...

Phenix Rods Hydra 8 Strand Braided Line Green

I liked the review on here so I ordered a spool of 40 lb for chatterbaits. Is anyone else using it? How do you like it?

Re: Reel Selection

When I purchase a new reel, I sell the one it replaced. I can't stand having a reel sitting around collecting dust. I would rather it find a happy home.

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

Which model are you guys buying, 6.3 or 8.1....I'm bit undecided, never had reel with high gear ratio but seeing IPT on 8.1 is more in line with 7.1 reels it does not seem that high. Will be mostly used with lures from 1/8 to 3/8 (cranks, jerkbaits, spinnerbait) I went with the 8.1:1. It will be us...

KVD 1.5 Deep Diver

Any opinions about the KVD 1.5 Deep Diver? I catch a ton of bass on the original. I wondered if these work well.

Re: Best grease and oil for servicing reels. 2019 edition.

I've learned this the hard way too. I've put carbontex into all my CU200E7's, CH50MGs, CU200Bs, CH100D7s, and maybe a few more I'm forgetting. If you ever fish braid or any heavy line, greased drag washers lead to a slipping drag. I have a tub of Cal's, but I won't put it on my drag washers anymore...

Re: Your line preference for casting model NRX?

I like fluoro but I pitch from the front of a boat and feel as though it transmits strikes better on slack line when the bait is falling. If I were fishing strictly from the bank with kind of any cover, I would probably use braid.
