Re: E6X MBR903c

It is one of my favorites. I have considered picking it up in a conquest. I use it for 1/2 -3/4 swimbaits. It loads up and casts great. I have considered adding a couple of inches to the rear grip.

Re: Bantam MGL Who has their hands on one?

Ok, two days on the water.. It feels very similar, almost identical to the conquest in smoothness during retrieve. (keep in mind I added three bearings to it) I have the HG which comes with the 84mm handle. I came home and ordered the 90mm from a curado k (same handle) Casts great, didn't try any sm...

Re: Loomis Noob, looking for GLX help

Id consider these 843 853 844 I'd recommend feeling of them first tho, I feel like the reel seat is a bit farther forward on the glx making it fish an inch or so shorter than they actually are. Also I think the power rating is a bit heavier than they are. For ex a med hvy may be a bit lighter than o...

Re: New Loomis GLX rods creak when you shake them?

Yes, this is normal when they are fresh. I had one a few years back, sent it back, they sent me another and it did the same thing. I called and they said that when they are fresh they will do this and with use they will stop. Fish them and it will go away. They sad it was where the epoxy for the eye...

Re: Aldebaran MGL

Japan sites are only listing it as standard and hg. It looks like it only lost about 10 yards of line capacity. I'll prob sell one of my ald's soon and pick one up to try.

Re: CURADO K VS I VS CHRONARCH CI4

The curado K is a great reel, look around and get it for a deal. You can add 4 bearings to the handle and one to the worm gear making it a 12 bearing reel. It casts great and is super smooth. If you are comparing it to the origianl chronarch ci4 I would go with the curado. If you are talking about t...

Re: Bantam MGL Who has their hands on one?

I noticed I had to push it just a bit to get it out, not difficult at all- but I did notice that I couldn’t just tilt the reel and give it a light jolt for it to fall out like my others.

Re: Bantam MGL Who has their hands on one?

Finally got mine in. I added one bearing to each knob and a bearing to the worm gear. It feels super solid. Its smaller than the chronarch but just by a smidge. Its mainly just shorter. The 84mm on the hg seems right at home on this reel. (I am a fan of the 90mm). The spool access side plate is very...

Re: Bantam MGL Who has their hands on one?

No silent tune just moves the bearing that is normally under the spool tension cap onto the spool.

Re: Bantam MGL Who has their hands on one?

Should be 12 bearings if you add one to the worm gear like the chron and met.
So according to japan Tackle only the sh gets the 90mm handle?

Re: Bantam MGL Who has their hands on one?

So does it have an 84 or 90 mm handle?
Is the handle side aluminum or ci4 type material.
Thanks for all the pics- that’s awesome!!

Re: Bantam MGL Who has their hands on one?

Ok from pics I found on Instagram - it does have the larger opening line guide like the met. Lots of opinions on this thread... The metainium mgl in my opinion is a great lighter bait (up to 1/2 oz) type finesse reel. It is light, smooth, zero complaints- it does have the ci4 material palm side plat...

Re: Bantam MGL Who has their hands on one?

It weighs 7.8 ounces,do yourself a favor and get a metanium instead. I have 6 metainium mgl, 5 or 6 chronarch mgls, a conquest mgl, 3 aldebarans and a couple of curado ks... This reel is basically a conquest in a low profile frame. I just like to try new reels. I also Don’t mind giving up some weig...
