Re: Kudo's to Pflueger/Pure Fishing

I bought two Pflueger 9530 spinning reels recently. One was fine, but the other had a little excess spool wobble under load. Called Pflueger and they said send it in. Exactly a week later, a brand new one is in hand. I've not had to work with them often over the years, but everytime I do, it's a gr...

Re: Your Next Reel Purchase?

If I could find a great price on a NIB Shimano Stradic CI4 2500, that would be my next reel.

Did you put it on a rod to see if it still hit when you held it like you would if fishing?

Yep. I put the 1000FL on a few different rods. I guess I just have big fingers. Thanks.

Knuckle buster !!!!!

I played around with a new Shimano Stradic 1000FJ spinner at Cabelas and put it on a couple different rods. My hands are not that big but am I the only one who has a problem with the bail hitting my knuckles almost repeatedly? I tried the new Symetre and the Saros 1000 also. Same results. Even with ...

Re: USPS broken rod

guys, does UPS/USPS priority treat your rod better than usps parcel post? I have had bad experience with USPS parcel post. I really need to choose a better way to ship my rod. I heard there are lots of hassles with insurance also. What is the best way to ship the rod economically? I can speak for u...

Exchange it. It would be an even money exchange and you get more drag. Win, win deal. I have had big fish snag my line while smallie fishing.

Re: USPS broken rod

Ok, my turn. I have sent maybe two dozen rods through the USPS and I have had only one problem, and that was my fault. All my rods got there in great shape and in a timely fashion. My only one situation was I tried to send it on the cheap. I sent a spinning rod Parcel Post. It was taking forever for...

Re: spinning reel help/info needed

Quantum Energys would either be 20 size for a medium light rod, 30 for medium. Their newer reels have slightly changed numerical designation and capacities....but 25 size fo ML, 30 for medium. Rxo's are about the same, though they have a few sizes with greater line capacity. The new Energy's, the "...

Why not ask your local tackle shop to turn it in for a replacement and then sell the replacement to you?

Something "blackish" with the rod, and something "silverish" with the reel. Makes me happy.

Re: Shimano Symetre

It's the same color of the Curado G, but you can only see the green color at certain angles. Iirc, it looks more like a black/Grey color with a very light tint of green. If you want, I can take a pic of my 1000 size one when I get home from work. Just let me know. I am getting ready to pull the tri...
