You might want to read this article. It was the primary reason I purchased a dremel.

Re: Rods You Have Aquired For 2019

893 nrx. Pretty disappointed with the rod never seen a rod so poorly constructed. Loomis should be ashamed. I just received the nrx 803 for my wife and the 916 ubr for me. We wanted to test them out. For the money yeah they are not quality built. From now on I’m sticking with MB or other JDM compan...

Re: Fluoro suggestions

Not only will KVD Line Conditioner help with FC 'memory', consistent use will extend the life of good FC. I have Toray Super Hard Upgrade that is 8-10 years old and still "tight and right" after consistent KVD use. How on earth do you still have enough line left on your reel after 8-10 years? The l...

Re: Fluoro suggestions

That Toray Super Hard Upgrade is nice stuff. I got some on clearance at Japan Tackle a while back for DIRT CHEAP. It had white packaging. I know there a few different ones out there. I thought mine was "Toray Super Hard Premium Plus Upgrade" or something. I remember an annoying amount of words. Tor...

Re: Fluoro suggestions

... NO MATTER WHAT LINE YOU PICK, GET THE KVD LINE CONDITIONER!!!!!! This will help tremendously with the memory/springiness FC line is known for. A couple sprays per reel the night before you go out will help a lot. Not only will KVD Line Conditioner help with FC 'memory', consistent use will exte...

Re: Steez hyper Cast spool

Guess I am the "outlier" here. I have been using that spool since 2010 in an OG Steez 100HLA with lures from 3/8 -1 oz. It definitely provided an improvement in casting distance without being "wild", but as always YIMMV ;)

Re: Daiwa warranty service

I had an issue with and "out of warranty" Steez 2508 spinning reel. Mailed it to the main Daiwa service center with a description of the problem and the reel was returned to me with the issue fixed, reel serviced, and no charge even for the return shipping.

Re: JDM Tatula SV TW

From what I have been able to determine, the US domestic and JDM versions of the Zillion SV TW, with the same ratios, are the same reels, all made in Thailand. So, I wonder if that is the same situation with the Tatula SV TW.

Re: OG Steez vs Steez TW

Fished with a Steez SV TW this past weekend along with my OG Steez reels (100HLA and 103HLA) . Definitely enjoyed the SV TW and it seemed almost impossible to overrun. I am not great on pitching (distance and accuracy) , but the SV TW made me almost look like a star :big grin: Fished with the Zillio...

Re: Conquest Skeptic

Fished with my new Conquest 902S this past weekend. My initial impressions in comparison to my NRX 902S: Sensitivity: Likely the same between the two rods. The Conquest might have been a "hair" more sensitive, but not enough to be definitive. The perceived difference could have been "expectation". C...

Re: What to add to the arsenal?

Agreed on the NRX 893.

It is my Senko (Izz Rig) rod and goes out on every trip, no matter the lake.

Re: Daiwa Zillion SV TW

Thanks for the replies about the Zillion reel(s). I will be using a Steez SV TWS at my club tournament this weekend, then I will decide between the Zillion or Steez.

It will also be interesting to compare the Steez SV TWS against my OG Steez (103HLA and 100HLA).

Re: Daiwa Zillion SV TW

Need a little clarification. Are these the same reels, with the "domestic" version available only in 6.3.1 and 7.3.1, and the "JDM" version available in the same ratios plus 5.5.1 and 9.1.1: It appears they are. I used the 7.3.1 version last weekend at Clear Lake, via the Tackle Warehouse demo progr...
