Re: Hedgehog vs ZPI

I been running my Hedgehog Air as dry for quite a while on most of my reels, and the noise settled down. If you like to clean bearings in acetone, go with Hedgehog, otherwise ZPI is OK too, actually I cleaned ZPI bearings in acetone for short period of time, and nothing happened to them. In general ...

Re: Zillion sv tw getting phased out

IMO, silly move. Get that Zillion TW SV with ZPI M or PG spool, and the reel is soooo good for any applications. What is the difference between the M and PG spools? I just ordered a Zillion today and am looking at possibly buying one of these. One is shallow - M, another one is deeper spool -PG. Yo...

Re: Mail Call

I know it’s not typical but they are actually pretty small. I got the idea from this vid but I change it up a little. I do a looper drop knot so the frog has more movement and add a small piece of nail weight to level them out. It’s like they just suspend and do their thing without much rod or line...

Officially they only can ship non-gas version by Air Mail, unofficially it is up to the seller.
I have Varivas 100ml bottle, and really like it.

Re: Line Conditioner for Braid?

I wouldn't use KVD... If you have access to Japan shops here are some options. VARIVAS 100ml and 320ml (50ml non-gas) http://www.xpeditiontackles.com/images/big/400%20x%20470%20varivas%20PE%20spray_edited-1.jpg TAKAMIYA https://shop.r10s.jp/point/cabinet/644/4996774358644.jpg SPLASH https://tshop.r1...

Re: Rod Shipping

Price increase for already way overpriced prices. I wouldn't be surprised if soon an Express EMS shipping from Japan would cost cheaper than local ground shipping in US. Cost of shipping of 1 piece rod from Japan by UPS is around ~$40, delivery - 3-4 business days. Buy in Japan, get shipped directly...

Re: HLC spool for 3/8 oz baits?

What lakes do you fish with clear water?
I have Tatula HLC, and not a great caster.
I would use some of Shimano baitcasting reels, or even a spinning combo with a braid, if you really looking for over 50yards casts.
