Re: "Borrowed" ideas

I wish I knew. Anyone involved in that project is no longer at our office. I tried to get information for someone that was doing some research. I was unable to obtain that info. There are probably a few people left at the Japan office that know, but I do not have communication with them. I would li...

Re: bfs reels with no line guide?

Can't you just retrofit a TWS? Should be lots in Daiwa's junk/repair pile! ;)

FWIW, seems like a lot of trouble to me for what is likely to be minimal gains and possible damage to your BFS.

Re: Pros and Cons of Spiral Wraped Guides

There's a con? I love spiral wraps! I get the best of both worlds in one rod. I get a BC reel on top, and a spinning rod underneath. I will never again rebuild any BC rod with guides on top. From now on every single rod I replace guides on will become a spiral wrap. Love them! I can see no wrong wi...

Re: Pros and Cons of Spiral Wraped Guides

Tangling in rod lockers...with today's "rod sock love", it really isn't an issue.

Otherwise, like stated - "there's a CON?!?!"

Re: Fish both left and right handed baitcasters?

I fish both easily as well. left handed for all "small" fish fishing (bass, walleye, etc). That way no silly switching hands, as I cast with my dominant arm (and of course, the more important part, set the hook with my dominant arm). but for "big" fish (trout, salmon, etc), I use right handed, as I...

Re: New lures from Bagleys Baits

Here are a couple of the Honey Bees I purchased a few years ago...they were so bad compared to the originals that I just gave these to my oldest kiddo and the rest to my wife's best friend's son: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t136/saukam1/Mobile%20Uploads/20150109_190316.jpg Hooks are too big, ...

Re: Fish both left and right handed baitcasters?

All left hand retrieve. Rod stays in right hand always. No switching hands. This for me also. I listen to pro's all day switching hands and talking about saving seconds everywhere else. Seem counterproductive? So funny...this is an old debate. Enjoy: http://forums.tackletour.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&...

Re: newby with new toys

Stay with the Ultima...that Extreme handle is well...just jivin' ya man. :P

It did get a very good review...including the handle's comfort and "tackiness" in feel and texture - more so than the phallic symbolism.
