The name :D
So SVS Infinity system, yes? What other tuning did ZPI do, other than the cosmetic changes?

Re: 100 or 200 Conquest

I personally chose the CQ 200, which essentially palms like the 1st Gen CQ 100. The new 14 CQ 100 is too small for me to comfortably palm for power techs, which are spinnerbaits of 1/2 oz to 1.5oz on this reel. I also like the bigger gearing and slightly lower gear ratio...in my book, can't ever hav...

Re: New Alphas SV for 2015

My Alphas Ito with aluminum gears has such a strange sensation when reeling. It is like I can feel the teeth meshing together. It is very smooth and yet so connected feeling. It is one of my favorite reels to use. I could see some thinking that it is not as smooth, but again I love the feeling it g...

Yeppers.....

For me, I am more excited about the CQ300/CQ400! So will this be considered a 15 CQ, instead of a 14 CQ? Super compact, super smooth casting with braid, awesome power, lighter than Gen 1?!?

Bring it on! :big grin:

Re: New Aldebaran and Metanium DC small pics and specs

The Alde reminded me of Flight of the Navigator... http://cdn2.screenjunkies.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/fotn.jpg DaveJ This has been mentioned several times before...with the original Antares/CL200 series and Antares AR/CL100A. I think as well, that the CL and Antares looks more like the ship f...

When Daiwa OEMs a reel for Cabelas...these become fantastic values when they go on closeout! ;)

Re: New Alphas SV for 2015

Hope the knobs are removable so that four bearings can be added. I may have missed this info - aluminum or brass gears? At 6 oz., I would think that the gears have to be aluminum. Alphas Ito had aluminum gears and it weighed 6.1 oz. But maybe brass gears and the Zaion gear-side plate cut down on th...

Re: 2015 Steez!

All that gold that Daiwa is going with on the new reels is just gaudy. Makes an otherwise awesome reel look cheap. (Think Morethan, Certate, now the Exist) The gold highlights on the Certate in "real life" is nicely accented....much less gold blingy than say the Stella FD or FE and for...

Re: MG5

When I first read this title, I thought for a moment you meant the Scorpion Antares 5.0:1 with the MG spool. Current line-up missing the 5:1 ratios is likely based upon/influenced by the popularity of higher speed reels in the market. Kinda like how the NFL was supposed to become completely dominate...

This new Alphas will go nicely with those two limited Steez SV reels you're getting. :D Hahaha...while those Steez are super sweet - I don't know if I would spend anything in the ...

Is there still a big difference over a Fuego with a spool upgrade?
Lower gear ratio, some "refinement pieces", color, but very alike overall.

Re: 2015 Steez!

I think the OP was meaning that the JDM Exist = USDM Steez spinning reel. Interested in the ATD: Automatic Drag System and what that all entails. ^^^^^^^^ For some reason I don't think it looks as good as the 14 Certate :-k ... There is already a new 14 Certate, or do you mean the 13 Certate that w...

Re: tatula R zillion tws or ss sv

Ok, still looking... I went to rogers and bps over weekend and while i was there i checked out the feel of the tatulas again.. way to big for me..since the zillion is the same frame that leaves it out also.. going with opinions on here the ss sv is also iffy.... I double checked the old zillions an...
