Re: Saltist X'treme = X'treme Beauty

I chated with some russian anglers and they told, that they do not recommend the Shoreluck, because these rods have broken several times :? :( Really??? Well, mine is OK so far. You know, the tip is too thin, but despite that the rod is rated for up to 7 gr lure casting using a maximum of 6 lb line....

Re: JDM Daiwa rod warranty

good for you!! Thanks for the informative thread! If the manufacturer asks you to ship the broken part for inspection, then you will send it by EMS and not UPS/FedEx as is the case of 1 piece rods. Well if it's broken then it's a 2 piece rod now, no need to buy a 2 piece in the first place!!!...

Re: Got my first Steez!

I do not want to sound pesimist, but even the breeze of the sea leaves salt in the reel that eventually will cause corrosion. I do inshore fishing too, but believe me, you better use a SW resistant reel. The Daiwa Exist is better suited for your application.

Re: unclaimed wedding gift??

In several banks they have a deadline to cash a check, I think 1 year is the most common term. After the deadline the check is not valid anymore. Ask your bank about it and forget the check during that period of time. If they don't have a deadline, fix it yourself and send a notification saying the ...

JDM Daiwa rod warranty

Hi guys, I have another story to add to our TT collection. I bought a Daiwa Presso rod few months ago to match it with my Presso reel. No need to say but this is a very expensive stick, one of the finest offers by Daiwa. The combo performed very well and I fished it hard. No mercy for my tackle (as ...

Learning that lesson costed me 14 euros (4 grubs with their jigheads) :|
Great tips Fbass...whenever you get the time on a weekend we can go after those monsters.

If you read the article properly they did try to release it, but it stayed up and beached itself again.

Re: Get ready Mahi-Mahi

One thing I am hearing all the time about catching Silures with lures is to cast a heavy spoon way up in the air so it makes a very loud splash when it hits the surface. People do this with 50 cast on the exact same spot to get the attention of those fish and according to their stories after a whil...

Re: Get ready Mahi-Mahi

In the Seine river you can reasonnably expect 20 to 50kg. For a weight estimate you can divide by 2 anyting over 1m. Example: you catch a 1.50 meter. Divide 50 by 2 that's 25. 25kg will be your approximate weight. GREAT!! I am using X-Rap 14 lures and huge grubs (50 gr) to pursue silures, but no su...

Re: Mitchell UL reel?

Thank guys for all your suggestions! The Mitchell Gold 300X series look beautiful and I think it will be a great match for my rod (just the looks). But after reading some reviews I decided this is not what I want :| As for the St.Croix, I didn't really like it. Decided, I am getting a Daiwa Steez 20...
