In the summer when the sun is real intense. i wear a Shady Brady Raffia straw hat. It has a pretty wide brim and a vented crown to help keep your head cool.Rafiis straw is very tough. I have had mine for over 3 years now and it is as good as new.I shaped mine so that the brim is a lot flatter than t...

Jinz000 is correct. The rod I have is a 10 footer casting model. It has a IM6 graphite bland that runs for tip tp butt cap.Except it is 2 pc.The more I use this rod the better I like it.Its action is a little more forgiving than my Tsunami which is like a pool cue with eyes.I like the Tsunami also.I ...

Re: Casting Rod Reccommendation!!!
Why do you want such short rods? What are you planning on using this new rod fr ( application)? I would need to know that before I can give you a reccomendation.I started out using 5'6" rods as a kid and I have slowly went to the longer ones.I have casting rods from 7 foot to 8'6.It just keeps gettin...

Re: PowerPro good for saltwater surf use?
Jinz000 is right on. You need 10 lb test per oz. of weight at a minimum. The shock leader needs to wrap around your spool at least 5 times then out the rod guides and back to the reel.In distance casting they call it a crack off when your weight pops the line during a cast. I have had this happen a ...

Re: Input on Abu-Garcia in general and on the new Eon Pro re
I like the quantum E600 PT.It is a smooth , good performing reel with a good drag. the only problem i have had is the smoke chrome plating comes off. They have supposedly streightend that out.The thing about reels is that it is not how they feel when you pick it up at the store. Its 2 years of hard ...

Re: the color red
Red is the first to black out.Blue is the last. That is why black and blue jigs and craw worms are so effective. It theory, when a crawfish is in his grayish blue state it's shell is soft. That is one reason bass react to this color stimuli so well.It sees this color and from past experience it reacts .
