Re: GeeCrack

I have two bags on the way, pricey stuff better live up to the hype. Two bags!! Wow Not all at once man. It can be pretty addictive I bought a fair share of expensive crap before and too much if it collecting dust. Don't feel bad man, I'm a two bag slag myself. Try it, like it, clean them out!

Re: Is it Daiwa, Shimano, or someone else?

I was Daiwa brand loyal until I bought an Antares AR, doubt I would dip below that reel, but I do see a Calcutta DC 100 in the near future. Still love my Steez/MB varients and the ease of customization. But man..that Antares is one hell of a reel.

Re: Last chance at a 72H Hyuga

You on commission now for the TTT? jk..jk Let's just say I am glad I got mine when I did. That said if it broke tomorrow I would strongly consider paying $300 for another copy. I like the rod that much but would probably cross shop it with the Valkyrie 72H 1st. I had a 7'2 medium Hyuga,...

Re: Designo leben and vantage

So back to the left turn. I know very little about spiral rods, I thought spiral rods ended with the tip pointing down. This one ends with the tip at 90 degrees to the left. Not sure what the theory is behind that or if it is common in the spiral world. I did spend a half hour at the pond casting a...

Re: Designo leben and vantage

I've been looking for one of these ML/MH limited release Designo's for going on a year, didn't think I would ever find the spiral version. Big thanks to Dom, and Polk.

Re: Olympic Vigore

The handle really is not as long as it looks, it's all perspective. I recently have used mainly split grips and it just feels great full casting with a full cork handle. Sensitivity on par with my EG RS, which pretty much means you can distinctly feel anything and everything on the bottom. Not quite...

Re: Olympic Vigore

Got in a few casts with a 1/2 jig, possibly the best loading rod that I have. Distance with that Antares was outstanding.

Re: Olympic Vigore

First thought as I pulled it from the rod sleeve. A slighly less blingy, 7'6 version of my Evergreen Kaliedo RS Stallion. Light, balanced, flawless construction, simply amazing.
