Re: Megabass US Destoyer new models added to lineup

tackle trap has them on the site and they give a brief description on the rod and what it was designed for. I dont think the otomat is a cranking stick it mentions it has a faster action with a soft tip for topwater walking baits, but it does mention it could be used for cranks for those who desire...

Please let the F4.5-71X Otomat not be a cranking stick!

Re: Levante combo - kind of like these

Your pics make it look better then the official ones, are the highlights that pink in real life? The EMTF is the only on I am really looking at now so I would love to hear your thoughts on it. A shallow/medium crankbait rod that can handle smaller worms and paddle tails would be very easy to justify...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

I cast all the 50# braid off my Tatula SV and 65# braid off my IP68 wirh both the stock and HLC spool all the time when throwing frogs. I don't think the stated Daiwa line caps are even remotely correct. For example I'll cast all the line off in my yard and then go pace it out to 200 feet which is ...

Re: What makes braid "screech"?

Im gonna bump this. I was thinking about braid for punching. I have had sone experiences with braid digging in and have been experimenting for the past couple years. I am bumping this because: 1. I am still intrigued 2. I was thinking of running a 4-carrier instead of an 8-carrier braid for punchin...

Re: The Go To big T-rig / C-rig Rod

the Ringa I had up for sale but with the Steez hlc spool coming in I said I’d pop that spool into it and see what it does. Please report back on this paring. I love my Ringa and would love to know how different spools do in it. Sadly mine will not take a ZPI PG spool, the inductor is a hair too long.

Re: Jig/Frog Rod for Bank Fishing

the Tour Versatile being 2" shorter and a little lighter in power might suit you better for bank fishing and has additional versatility. How is the Gen 2 TV vs the Gen 1 version? I had a Gen 1 and like it, but threw it out as a trade offer for a deal too good to pass up. I kinda miss it but have fo...

Re: What's REALLY next for Daiwa

Keep in mind that we here account for a relatively small percentage. Oh I know, but it is amazing to me how big the market for high-end bass fishing tackle must be for so much of it to get produced when it seems like it's maybe 2000-3000 weirdos on the internet selling each other used tackle in an ...

Re: What's REALLY next for Daiwa

Two flavors would be cool, but I don't recall Daiwa making two separate same reels different colors for different markets in the past? If it is black, maybe that would explain the price difference? If the executives at Daiwa were smart they would have an intern who does nothing but read TT and writ...

Re: Ajing/Mebaru in the US?

That sounds good. I'm totally unfamiliar with white perch and will have to look into it. Target locations, seasons, lures and any other tips gladly accepted! Full disclosure, I have no idea if white perch exist in north NJ. But, they coexist with stripers down here, so this is all assuming it works...

Re: New knob styles

Hah, I love the Daiwa paddles! Comfortable and very grippy. I am slowly putting them on all my kayak reels as they are amazing for fishing with wet hands.

What I really want are slightly chunky rubberized cork knobs for Diawa handles, something like the stock 13 Fishing ones would be ideal.

Re: Ajing/Mebaru in the US?

Houndfish, I'm in northern NJ. A few hundred thousand shad run up the Delaware River every Spring. Haven't tried that yet. Just don't have enough local knowledge of the run to know when and where to go. And yes, they can get pretty big. As usual, I'm being picky and looking for something to target ...

Re: Anyone fish the TRD Crawz?

I have bought three packs. Haven't had anywhere near the luck I thought I would though. They look great and have the best action of any finesse type bait I have seen, but it may just be coincidence that the fishing has been slow with them. I had the same experience when the TRD Tubes came out. I bo...

Re: Ajing/Mebaru in the US?

Aji are a baitfish that put up a great fight for their size and are abundant. Don't we have something similar to target? Thanks for the suggestions but they are all predators. I've caught snapper blues in the salt on both fly and spinning but that's quite different from aji. Oh, shad maybe? I have ...
