High quality oil, lube, etc
Hi guys, over the Holidays I am planning to do a through cleaning and lubing of all my reels. Since I have some more expensive reels (Antares DC MD, Steez, Conquest) I want to use the best lubricants for the job. WHat would you recommend to use for: * Gears * Worm-shaft * Bearings Thanks for your re...

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW
What's the difference of this reel against the Steez A? What justifies the additional 100 USD in price?
Thanks for the info.

Looking to upgrade my CQ101 HG with a larger handle
Hi all,
thinking of upgrading my CQ101 HG with a larger handle and some nicer knobs. I am using the reel on my 7'6'' MH ZBONE for 1/2 oz Jigs and Trigs.
Any recommendations/ ideas?
Thanks!

Re: SLP Works Steez SV TW
I just don't what spool to go with 1012 or 1016 The 8.1:1 is brass correct? I will be using 20lb braid, light lures up to 1/2 oz for 20lb braid go the 1012 spool as more than enough capacity and the ability to handle lighter weights. There is no Brass Gears in any of the current Steez TW lineups . ...

Re: SLP Works Steez SV TW
Playing with the idea to spec out a Steez A with 8.1:1 and the 95mm Carbon handle. It says that it is not eligible for saltwater... why is that?
Also wondering if the 95mm handle with a 8.1:1 might have a negative impact on power when I would use the reel for heavy flipping and pitching.
Thoughts?

Re: Best All Around Reel: Chron. MGL / Cur. v Tat sv / Zil sv
I dont have a Tatula (but have Zillion HD, Daiwa Coastal and Steez SV TW) but have the Chronarch in the 8 gear ratio. I think it is a solid reel. It has a pretty wide spectrum of lures that can be thrown on it. I would say that it is a great all around reel! Get the 7 gear ratio and you should be se...

Re: 7.1 or 7.3 ft rod for hollow bodied frogs
I honestly do not think that it makes that much of a difference. On the pros and on the cons.
I use a 7'3'' and I think it is great.

Re: Steez A Question
Thanks for all the replies, only bad review I found was a guy from BR (not a member there, read it from google) and he said the stabilizing pin just fell off his Steez A. Sold it for a Metanium MGL saying it felt "much smoother on retrieve" which was odd to me. I just have a deep fear of ...

Re: Steez A vs Steez SV103 8.1:1 ?
Thanks for the feedback guys! Since I will be using the reel also in brackish water (California Delta) I am wondering if the SV103 has a disadvantage here. If I went with the Steez A I would prob customize it and get it with the 1016 SV spool, and a different handle and knobs from Plat, which would ...

Both have been fine so far..
Did I make that easier?
Thank you, but no!

Which one would you say is smoother and holds up better over time?

Steez A vs Steez SV103 8.1:1 ?
Hi all,
looking to get a new reel for heavy Jigs.
I have narrowed it down to the two.
The Steez SV103 seems to have brass gears vs the duralium of the Steez A. I prefer the spool of the SV for skipping.
What would you choose?
