Re: Zillion sv TW 1000

Got mine today from Japan Tackle. I can 100% confirm Japan Tackle is selling the Made in Japan aluminum gear version. Didn’t get to take it out. Work kept me in today. First impressions are the handle knobs are way too small. Hopefully the USDM version comes with larger knobs like Shimano did for t...

Looks like a Curado i70 repurposed with SLX slapped on the side?
Definitely a curado 70. Stripped down Scorpion BFS I guess?

Re: Curado 76H uses

Bank fishing frog bomber. Other bank bound bombing of pond baits. Maybe a smaller sized plopper type bait. Swim jigs ect. If the rod's breaks or the reel gets scratched up from bank use then no biggie.

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000

Just saw the vid. He says there is no different in casting distance between the SV Boost and SV spools. He also casts with the mag dial as low as 5 out of 20 on his reels and does a lot of lob casts and low energy casting while palming in the vids I have seen. I don't think I have ever seen him bomb...

Also clear colored plastic Daiwa I style knobs from AMO. I want that aluminum thumb bar on that example TDZ.

Also Air Brake honeycomb DIY spools for 28, 30 and 34 mm reels. I have the 17 Tatula SV version of this spool. Crazy light weight but the Air Brake is a little questionable in terms of quality of construction. https://m.aliexpress.com/item/1005002037767429.html?browser_id=9293054bad4f4104bc53cb13bfa...

AMO spool for BM3, Revo4X, Revo4S and maybe others. AMO makes a quality product. 8.3 grams with bearing. https://m.aliexpress.com/item/1005001929017070.html?spm=a2g0n.detail.0.0.5fb234d7jWmpiW&gps-id=platformRecommendH5&scm=1007.18499.187582.0&scm_id=1007.18499.187582.0&scm-url=1007.18499.187582.0&p...

Re: Steez A vs. Morethan

Morethan for sure. If only because it it is a black and gold Steez A that matches the rod. They also seem to go for cheaper than the Steez reels on Ebay despite actually being a Steez. I guess you're not paying for the Steez name? I'm not complaining. Literally a Betterthan Steez in the 8.6 bronze g...

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000

I like the size. The Alphas looks like the reel to get for an affordable compact Daiwa. Just as it has always been. The 32mm spool allows the frame to be shorter and thats what the Lews reels do too. The 34mm spool will ensure that the Zillion is a bigger reel which is worth it to have 34mm spool co...

Re: SLP RCSB 1000 BOOST spool...

Neat vid. He gingerly casts that thing and the bait flies effortlessly. Not enough capacity to bombing bigger baits though. Seems to have similar characteristics to the fixed inductor AM spools (ZPI, Amo DIY ect). Efortless medium and short range casting but limited capacity to larger diameter lines...

Re: New Steez A TW HLC

A little shallower than I like for bombing frogs on 65# braid. TD Zillion HLC can already empty the spool on a cast and this appears shallower. Still interesting to see another 36mm platform.
