Unless I am mistaken, these reels are bay jigging variants of the Alphas platform. They're not reels meant for casting.Westbankcougar wrote:Does anybody have one of these? Is this just a dressed up Alpha?

Pretty Banax reels? I'd bite if the price was right and if I knew whether Banax spinning reels are good or not. Doyo spinning reels are good maybe Banaxeses are too?

Re: Curado 70XG first... And second impressions
How does the Scorpion/Curado 70 do at low spool speed control? With Daiwas the magnets continue to act upon the inductor even after centrifugal forces have diminished and the inductor has retracted. With Shimano SVS reels, once the centrifugal brakes cut out I imagine all your left with on the Curad...

Re: New reel: Shimano Flame
Lets us know how the faint Atari deep range and sensitivity to catch and even seize the eater of low activity in the Large snapper cunning to great advantage and also produce a blissful sea bream lava game sound a light hit after the existing drug works. I'm still interested in one of these or the S...

Re: Daiwa Tatula 610 Medium
I've heard conflicting information about this rod. On one hand I hear that it doesn't cast baits very far, which I assume is due to the light flexible tip over loading and burning off energy in the cast and on the other hand I hear that it loads up properly and casts down 3/32 oz well. I can put two...

Re: Megabass FXR-73R vs Megabass FX73 vs Gan Craft Mago
I've been thinking about grabbing the FX73SV and this thread just re-kindled my interest. But also looking at the new Daiwa 16 Zillion SV TW 1016SV. Both around the same price range with the FX73SV a little bit more expensive. I'm not going to get both. I know the new zillion is not out yet but any...

Re: Help choosing : stradic CI4+ or Revo STX
Just ordered the ci4+ (got a huge deal for it on cabelas.ca, 200$ CDN) Now im just having really big hesitation about the rod, cant decide between 7' medium heavy or 7'6" medium abu veracity... The 7'6'' medium is a bass rod and it's borderline finesse bass rod at that. I use mine for drop shots, s...

Re: Daiwa Presso
I own a TD-Z BBS that has a fixed inductor. Often struggled with BL on lures under 3/4 oz. So I swapped out the spool with my OG zillion and have the same line capacity yet curbed the odd oops of a BL. I can throw 3/8 to 1 oz NP. And only swap in the stock spool for monster swim baits to get more d...

Re: Daiwa Steez
If I owned a Steez SV and was looking to pic up another reel, it wouldn't be looking at the Steez TWS. There's lots of interesting reels out there the Steez TWS is certainly one of them, but it just looks boring on paper and a bit dowdy IMO. You've already got a great Steez, so what about trying ano...

Re: Daiwa Tatula 610 Medium
Oh, nice! The upper lure rating of 1oz seems a bit much, yeah? Thanks for the info! 1 oz is too much...Daiwa has alot of wide range rods like that...they have some JDM's that are 1/8-1oz and 3/16-1/1/2oz. This rods upper end is more like 1/2 oz...maybe 5/8. Makes nice Drop shot or Ned rig ...really...
