Re: Braid/Fluro Leader Question

I use 30lb smackdown and 14lb sun line floro, never had a problem with break offs. I rarely run straight braid, My leaders are about 3 ft or less.

Re: What do i "need"

You bring 8 rods?! That's a lot to lug around..when I go non boater I bring 3, a medium or a heavy jig rod, another medium casting rod for spinners/crankbaits, and a spinning rod for worms.

Re: Evergreen Brett Hite Combat Sticks

Just got the 7'3" heavy, it is very light, feels more Medium heavy than heavy. The build quality is very nice, very comfortable in hand, and the rod case is very nice. Good balance with a 13 metanium. Overall I am very impressed for the price

Re: Green nrx

I have both types, different rod types so I cant speak to sensitivity... But, I do think that the green finish is more durable...and looks cooler

Re: Shimano Vanquish 16 C2500HGS

Eventually i ended up getting the 16 Vanquish C2000hgs, because i got a good deal of a slightly used one, and it fits my 6,8ft medium light, very lightweight drop shot rod perfectly. Now i have couple of times out on the water with it.. And i have to say that im totally amazed.. It is extremely imp...

Re: Shimano Vanquish 16 C2500HGS

I currently have a stella 2500 on my nrx822 drop shot rod, it is a fantastic reel (and overall combo), but I am thinking that it might be better on a more versatile spinning rod. For a drop shot rod, I was thinking that a lighter reel like the vanquish might be better. I have read that the vanquish ...
