Payo SSO-Flash 65F, 65 mm, 5.4 gr looks very well. Dive not so deep, but dancing pretty nice.

Re: Metanium 4 brake block vs 6?

How would I order those? I'm afraid, that customer must ship spool (or even reel) to the producer for replace brake block. What's the real world advantage of a 4 brake block over the 6? Thanks all, Brian. I dont think about advantage 4 brake over 6, because i use Metanium with 10-18 gr lures (paire...

I can't understand, why manufacturers do this. May be, for best sensitivity for fishing with jig-rigs, but i don't like it.

Re: Shimano Zodias

Thanks for those charts, they are really helpful! Looks like I'll be getting some new sticks. Any reason no t to save money and buy from Plat? I imagine the big shipping expense is mitigated by buying multiple rods. You welcome! About purchase: i order my rod on ebay and it delivered to me (Moscow ...

Re: Shimano Zodias

Guys who palm with four fingers above the trigger, which reels are you running on your Zodias? I'm having a heck of a time finding a reel that I can palm on the rod without crowding my pinky on the trigger. The Met is close but not quite there for me. I use Zodias with Met 13 and check it with Chro...

Re: Fishing in the rain, reel maintenance

Always after fishing: dry with soft material, remove sideplate, remove spool. Left in this condition for 3-4 hours. Then assemble and add lubrication.

Re: Shimano Zodias

Is it a true 2 piece rod or all that's removable is the handle (which would be dumb as hell :-k )? My 1610M-2 is a true 2 piece rod and i saw pictures of 166MH-2 from my russians fisherman-friend and it is 2 pieces rod too. Both models WITHOUT removable handle, simply separated in the middle. http:...

Re: Shimano Zodias

Hooray, I fished with My Zodias 1610M-2 \:D/ ! On friday evening i went to small river near my town. Started with hard lures, but there is no bite for hour. Then i changed it to jig-rigs with soft plastic 3/8 - 1/2 Oz. Zodias work with these weight very well, i felt all rocks on bottom and casting i...

Re: Servicing a core 50, what's the best grease to use?

Just anyone's thoughts on a great grease for lubing the gear set.... When i asked Sonoda about it, he said to me: Hi Alex, For oil, Shimano Bantam Oil is the regular product for the reel, and it is recommended. For grease, I recommend DG-10 or 06. DG-10 is the most protective grease among Shimano g...

Re: Shimano Zodias

Sweet. So I can use each rod for pretty much everything  Yep! Unfortunately, raining weather didn't let me go fishing in that weekend. But I was able to allocate some time to test the rod on a small pond. From the first cast rod was a continuation of my hand, CI4+ reel seat is very nice in pal...
