Re: tatula 701mrb?
I found that both of my original Tatula' s are more like between a mod-fast and fast taper and not as slow as the regular taper they denote it as. Like sarcazmo said, it's a really versatile rod.

Re: TD-Z R+ Spool Question
Got the c-clip off and it is all buggered up and missing parts #22 from the schematic. I'll have to see if someone can put this back together. I have no tool to remove the pin on the spool shaft. That pin should just slide out, it isn't a press fit like the other spool pin that mates with the pinion.

Re: TD Fuego Spools
Yup, there are two. One with dimples that is stock with the OG HLC reel and the I'ze Factory spool that is drilled.

Re: Steez 103 R+ spool
I really enjoy hearing about guys who still appreciate and enjoy the venerable TD-Z platform, which will always have a special place in my heart. That original Steez 103 spool, black or red, is fantastic in the TD-Z. This is why so many folks still seek the original Gigas R+ reel, or the spool, or ...

Re: upgrade drag on ss sv
which model steez gears will drop into the ss sv? OG Steez SHA 7.1:1 gears will fit, as will the Steez SV gears ( both the 6.3 and 8.1 sets). I don't think that's right. OG stress and TD-Z gears swap to each other, but it's my understanding that the 8.1 Steez (both the limited and usdm SV), Zillion...

Oh nice, that's perfect! The spring that comes with that will work well.chrisg_sdcf wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2019 4:00 am
Would this work? Or is the HLC spring still needed?

Re: building the 5.1:1 'crankin'steez'
JJBassnForFun, any follow to your testing with the 5:1 LH gearset? What gearset did you use? Any idea of IPT achieved? That might hit 20-21 I would think... Nice deep CB or SB reel I would say. Been beating the fudge out of them with SB and bladed jigs slow rolling over grass. The 100ML is working ...

Re: TD Fuego Spools
Just a note to go with my vote for the 100M. Add an R+ inductor and HLC spring and that'll make it an amazingly versatile spool. Really frees it up without making it unnecessarily wild. Besides the 100m spool being hard to find, is the r+ inductor available from online sources? I was able to get a ...

Re: MicroWave Guides Casting Distance
I had a rod built with them only because the builder was practically giving them away so I thought I'd try them. I don't notice a big improvement but I also didn't have a second identical rod built to test against either.

Re: Daiwa Steez 103HL
Will a Steez A spool work in a original steez 103h? And is there a reason why its 1016 g1 spool would perform different than the rcs 1016? There are a few for sale cheap on another forum which is why I'm asking. I've just seen some posts where the steez a spool wouldn't fit in the steez sv tw so wa...

Re: Educate Me on TD-Z 103GL-RZ Limited Edition
I live flipping and pitching with these reels. I have bigger hands and find them part pretty comfortable, but what I like most is that when I palm it and make a pitchy or flip, my heelpad isn't resting on a thumb bar. I tried to use a 7.9 ratio Zillion but keep parlay tripping the thumb bar with the...
