Looks interesting. Can't wait to see/fish some. My eyes are on that Concept Z reel too.

Newest Gloomis GLX 782c MBR vs 842c MBR ?

Looking for anyone who has fished both please. Are they in essence the same rod only differing in length? Looking at one or the other for light bass, inshore flats work. Thanks in advance for replies.

X2! Gloomis NRX 804s xmr. Mine splits time between Shimano Ci4+ 4000, and Quantum Cabo 40 PTse depending on if I'm bass fishing or inshore fishing. Sweet rod!

Re: Gloomis rod above NRX????!!!!!

I read the review. Said they're lighter than the nrx but my 852 is 3.7oz, 893 is 3.9oz & 873 is 4.2oz so that doesn't bother me. The action lengths are nothing special, recoil guides and split grips doesn't bother me one bit. I don't see this rod being a hit. Thank goodness their review said sensit...

Re: Daiwa ICAST 2017 (2018 products)

Not a reel per say but Daiwa is now the rod and reel sponsor of Mark Zona. This disappoints me a bit. I don't generally keep up with who is sponsored by this or that as 99% of it isn't applicable to my smallmouth fishing and there are a great deal of "staffers" that throw things other than what jer...

Re: What's your favorite NRX and why ?

804xmr has become my favourite rod I've ever laid my hands on. Too bad it costs over ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS Canadian to buy another. NRX's are being discontinued (or simply not sold) here in Canada due to their increased pricing. I just bought mine, but it has already handled some big 7-10 lbs bowfin...
