Re: 2017 Shimano Soare Ci4+ S408UL-S Ajing rod

I had a week of breaking in the new rod and reel. I'll sum it up, FUN!! Wow! This is a super light combo! Let's start with out of the box.... is this a toy or a fishing rod. Two peice Rod is ultralight and blank is super thin. When I put the rod together with the Spare 500s reel I just smiled. What ...

Another link of the rod in action. First production run from Shimano is sold out. Next production run is due in December 2017 from what one of my suppliers told me. However, if you know how to buy overseas through Japanese shops you should be able to grab one.

2017 Shimano Soare Ci4+ S408UL-S Ajing rod

Just ordered this new rod from Japan! I'm excited to try it out. There are a few videos of the rod in action and it looks FUN! I am pairing it with the new Soare 500s reel to make a whooping 6.5oz combo! Sweet!!
Here is a link to one of the Shimano videos. https://youtu.be/h8uOJHSptmE

Re: Soare CI4+, new 500 size shimano spin

Just ordered one to match with my 2017 Shimano Soare Ci4+ S408UL-S ajing rod. 2lbs fluorocarbon and 2-3lbs nano braid will be my lines of choice most likely.

Re: Shimano Soare Xtune S706UL-T rod

Great review! I am thinking I need the new Soare Ci4+ 500 size reel for mine :) Having fished the UL saltwater rods this past year I am loving the actions. Like UL with muscle, yet protects light line. FUN!

Re: Shimano Soare Xtune S706UL-T rod

Glad someone else bought one! Most amazing UL rod I have owned. Truly a work of art. Top notch quality, components, and just fun. I was on the white bass this morning using a 1/8oz gold spoon and a barbless hook. Money!

Re: G-Rods Game Changer Rod thread

G-Rods International is based in Plano, Texas. Rods are made overseas. Game Changer Rods are sold at Tackle Warehouse. Also, if you go to their website there is a dealer page as well. TackleTour has reviewed a few of their sticks with good results. The Game Changer series got their "innovation" awar...

Re: "Mag" BFS Casting Rod Input

Don't get me wrong, I'm not advertising the G-rod as a true BFS stick. The title said "mag" BFS rod and listed things he would throw with the rod. It's also just as important to throw a BFS reel on any rod he chooses. I saw he was disappointed in the other being too powerful. The Grod has a fun mode...

Re: "Mag" BFS Casting Rod Input

Having fished the G-rod, and seeing his wants/needs I believe he will be a happy camper. That said everyone has their own likes. I have always been a BFS fan and instantly loved the action of the game changer rod myself. Can't wait to hear how he likes the rod.

Re: "Mag" BFS Casting Rod Input

Check out the 6'8" G-Rods Game Changer "jerkbait" Rod. Tackle Warehouse carries the rod. Will do everything your asking. Super light rod in hand as well. Black and carbon rod so it will match your reel too. I recently started a thread describing the rod and my first experience out with it. PM me you...

Re: G-Rods Game Changer Rod thread

I fished the 68M "jerkbait" rod yesterday. Fantastic rod for light action applications. Nice moderate bend keeping the treble hooked baits pinned. I used topwater poppers, slash baits, weightless worms, and keitech ultralight jigs. No jerkbaits, ha! This rod handled bass to 4 lbs , white bass, and a...

Re: G-Rods Game Changer Rod thread

Yep only a few years have past since they came out at Icast. Tackle Warehouse carries the game changers. There are a few reviews on Tackle Warehouse already as well. The rods are amazing, but one call to the owner Glenn Miller sold me as well. The guy knows his stuff! Look up graphene and be wowed. ...

G-Rods Game Changer Rod thread

Figured I would start this as a way for people to give their input on the new Game Changer rods by G-Rods International. I just got the 6'9"M casting (fast action all purpose medium) and 6'8"M (mod-fast medium jerkbait) rods. Build finish is as good as you will find IMO. JDM quality looks. A quick c...

Re: Which is your favorite rod company?

Where is G-rods?? Honestly, try a G-Rods rod and it will change your expectations of what a quality build, finish, and deflection should be. Great rod series for all fishing flavors!!! I was going to try one but the specific model I wanted I could not get until next year, told by the company....
