Re: New Poison Adrena

First impression of the 7’3mh is what a amazing rod. For right at $300 after the labor day sale its a steal. By the lure rating I was expecting a “stout” mh, rating is right on point. Have a 7.4:1 metanium mgl & id give the balance almost a perfect 10. So far I’ve only fished a 3/8 scrounger. Going ...

What do you not like about it
WEIGHT. The reason I won’t purchase, it palms great though. A $500 reel at almost 8oz is the deal breaker. mid 6oz, I’d for sure have one. Imo, I think it’s the best baitcast released this yr

Re: What's your favorite NRX and why ?

893c is the best bottom contact rod on the planet in my opinion. I can feel when fish are just swimming by or nosing around. Have set the hook several times and snagged the fish. 893c is SPECIAL & I have hooked plenty of bass outside the mouth. I have the green model & running 12lb pline tactical. ...

Re: What's your favorite NRX and why ?

Even though I REALLY been enjoying my 893 the past few months with senkos & trig, I'm going to have to vote for the 852c. One of the lightest & most sensitive, versatile rods in the lineup. I've started off tournaments throwing a megabass jb, by noon a 1/4 shakyhead & later in the day a 3/16 drop s...

R.I.P. NRX 872s

Well after only have this rod for around a year, it actually broke around 10” from the top on a lb drop shot fish. I’ve never had to use a rod claim before, so this is going to be my 1st experience. Clearly not my fault. I see Loomis has a no question $125 fee xpeditor program, not sure to use it OR...

Metanium DC or Antares mgl for Nrx 873crr?

Like to hear opinions on maybe anyone that has both or one of these reels. Price in japan looks about 420 for the Antares & 400 for the DC, not much difference. The 7.8oz weight of the Antares is what really bothers me but I heard it’s a 50 size reel. It has one review on TW( I take them for what th...

Re: Jig/T-rig Rod

I understand your issues with the Dobyns & I had last model champion extreme & the current model, didn’t take long to realize the lack of sensitivity, both are gone. So just throw out your budget of $300 & just get a nrx, lol. For what you’re going to use it for I’d say get the 873crr. I got tired o...

Re: Nrx 853c?

I was in your exact situation. The 853 is not a bad rod BUT the 893 does everything it can & much better imo. I traded my 853 in for a 893 & I couldn’t be more happy. Of course I took a lost, but that 893 is probably the most special rod in the nrx lineup. I’ve caught and won more money on the 893 t...

Re: NRX 852c

When I first got mines, it was my goto shaky head rod. It’s so soft, you have to hit em really hard with any kind of Texas rig. Now it’s my scrounger rod, vision 110 rod and small cb rod.it gets the most use in spring for jerkbaits, excellent hookup ratio with treble baits

Re: Jdm Metanium or Chronarch Mgl

Jdm metanium. I had both & even got my chronarch mgl for $220, ended up selling it & getting another metanium. The jdm metanium is the best high end value reel for the price & if you order from japan lure shop, I’ve gotten a free megabass lure each time. Plenty of line capacity Just ordered a JDM M...
