That´s the silver non ported version for Zonda/Alphas, right?

Re: Best UL BC for trouts in small streams

o.8 gramm with a BC? That´s very very impressiv =D> The lowest I castet with the Finesse Custom with DIY was a 1.9 gramm crank. And that was the limit of the rod. I don´t know how much I could have gone lower. But with my new rod that will definetely be the case :D The SS Air was already on my mind ...

Best UL BC for trouts in small streams

What´s the best BC for UL trout fishing in small streams? Baits will be from a little less than 2 gramm up to four gramm. Important is easy and controlled casting. Distance doesn´t matter that much because the streams are small. I usually have to use my thumb to stop the bait from hitting the other ...

Re: Steez SV (non TW)

Of all the mentioned reels I only have a Steez 103SV and I love it. It´s buttery smooth, palms great and casts easy and very far. Lot´s of people say it´s overbraked, it´s not a Steez and so on. And I believed it from reading about it hear on TT. Till a friend of mine let me cast his  A week ...

Re: Alphas Finesse Custom

If you could elaborate further on the braking profile and casting weight range of the DIY spool for Alphas and Alphas Air spool I would love to hear it. Thank you. That´s not that easy because I didn´t test the whole weight range of both reels. I fish them both true UL on trouts with true UL rods. ...

But since there is no spool to upgrade your reel don´t worry about the prices ;) :D

Re: Alphas Finesse Custom

https://ibb.co/e6bPg5 https://ibb.co/kGW1Tk This is my Alphas Finesse Custom. My favourite reel for trout fishing. It throws 1,9grs Minnows (I have no lighter baits) estimated 20m without probs. The upgrades are: - 90mm carbon handle - cork knobs - DIY spool - HH Air BFS spool bearings - two bearin...

Alphas Air 8.1? I thought 7.2 is the fastest ratio? Or do you mean SS Air?

Re: Daiwa SS SV 105XH

I would/will mostly fish the 105 spool. But the DIY is a nice option for UL applications. It´s the fast retrieve of the 105XH combined with enough line cap. that attracts me. Because of that the SS Air is not in the game. I also have an Alphas Air which I´m totally happy with ;) So bottomline is: On...

Re: Daiwa SS SV 105XH

I assume the 105 spools are compatible. Thanks for your feedback :) But when I look at those DIY-spools for the Steez I see that they fit in the Steez 100/103/105 and SS SV 103. https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Accessories-Steez-modified-more-light-color-line-cup-unpackaged-spot/1089104_325...

Daiwa SS SV 105XH

I´m interested in the SS SV 105XH. After searching the forum I´m a little confused. I always thought the SS SV (all models) has the body of the Steez SV (besides Zaion handleside-plate) and that all parts incl. spools were interchangeable. And that the differnce between the 103 and 105 models is jus...
