Re: Broken Daiwa Alphas Ito sideplate...Please help

I understand what you are saying with gluing it directly to the sideplate. I have never heard of that being done, but I suppose it's possible. My main concern would be if it would cause the brake cup to sit deeper in the sideplate than it would if it were to be on the posts. If it did cause it to si...

Dragboatdriver : Feedback Request Topic

Hi,

I have dealt with many people both here and on other sites with no issues.

Some feedback from members that I have dealt with would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Re: Broken Daiwa Alphas Ito sideplate...Please help

I recently dealt with an Alphas Ito that the sideplate was cracked behind the Mag brake dial. Upon dis-assembly I found that the "posts" that hold the brake mechanism had been broken and someone had tried to glue them back. Needless to say, they broke like twigs as soon as I touched them. My recomme...

ZPI Pixy

Here is my Orange Pixy with CP-301 ZPI spool. I also added a ZPI CF handle and some Megabass cork knobs. At the moment it is sitting on a Megabass X7 Super Eiger, but it's permanent home will likely be on a Megabass X4 Hedgehog... as soon as I get my rear end in gear and order it. It's internal mods...

Re: Lets see those Megabass reels!!!

Killer reels, guys!

Here is my new Zonda 10R. I also have a NIB FX 68 headed this way from Japan. Pics of it will come as soon as it arrives!

Sorry for my horrible photography.

Re: LOW GEAR RATIO FOR DAIWA ALPHAS 103

As far as I know, TD-Z gears will not fit in an Alphas platform.

Sourcing a TD-Z 103P would be an option. However, if you wanted the easiest route, I would recommend you purchase a Zillion Crazy Cranker and put a TD-Z 100M spool in it. It would perform great and is readily available.

Re: LOW GEAR RATIO FOR DAIWA ALPHAS 103

To my knowledge, the Alphas 103 platform came with a 5.8:1 ratio from the factory. The 103 platforms being the purple alphas 103, the Type F, and the R edition. So, unless your reel has had a set of 6.8:1 gears installed, 5.8:1 is your reels gear ratio. That being said, I consider that to be a fairl...

Re: Megabass for Light Topwater

I own the Shading X, but I use it mainly for 1/16 oz shakey heads, flick shakes, and slider heads. However, I can see the Shading X being perfect for what you would like to do. From my experience, it is a pretty versatile rod when it comes to very light baits.

Re: Three's company...KTF/ZPI/Hedgehog-Avail

Awesome! I have a soft spot for KTF stuff. They are second to none in my opinion.

BTW, the Shading X is a mean rod. I think you would really enjoy it!

Re: What the... Finesse Alphas?

from article: Makes my 2003 $70 Pinnacle seem all the better cause its able to get measured10'-13' farther with an even lighter 2.3g lure. This after forgetting it leaving it on top of my vehicle then seeing the rod/reel go sliding across the pavement 45mph. I would love to hear what rod and line y...

Re: Bought a 100 xr

That appears to be a ZPI RC-002 spool.

I could very well be incorrect though...

The steez sv spool should fit that reel fine.

Nice grab, man
