Re: Show off your BFS Casting Reels

My greatest wish is for me to “be OK” with mixing ABU/Daiwa/Shimano reels and rods - it would make my life easier and my wallet thicker... Same here. I have wished for that same thing many times. Since I swap reels from Shimano to Daiwa and back so often I've had to resort to only buying rods that ...

Re: reel deal

With shimano spinners you can have mild to wild depending on your budget. What are you looking to spend? The Sedona and Sahara are the 50-80 dollar range, NASCI is the 100 dollar range, the ultegra is the $150 price point then you move up to stradic at $200, then the sustain $300. Top players are th...

Btw, I use all my gear while walking the ponds, but I'm very careful.
Plus you have 250 reel covers to keep those shiny gems pristine lol!

Curado 70 discontinued?

Dan,

Are the 70s being discontinued or are they being upgraded or replaced? I see MAP has been removed.

The pinion gear on the ct is too long for the standard width spool in the regular alphas/sol
So, basically it is a steez sized reel that has spacers to fit the ct spool.
Yes its a normal sized alphas with a few modifications to work with the little spool.

Re: Anyone use the Bone Combat Beast or Black River rods?

Hold up. You can put Zillion gears in a Steez?? Does that mean you can put Steez gears in a Zillion??? Can I get a set of 8.1's for my Zillion SV 7.3???? And then put those 7.3's in the 6.3 I have on my TW rod?????????? OG zillion/sv103 gears do fit the ss sv/steez platform but you need to use a zi...

Re: Alphas air stream custom

Nice looking slabs!

I had an sv105 5.8 ratio and it was super smooth as well, complete butter when under load with small cranks. I'll have to throw one of my 03 original floaters on my scale to see what the actual weight is.

They recently had national holidays for over week in Japan. Sometimes, rods get hung up in customs, for reasons unknown. Just email Jun and inquire about the rod's whereabouts. They are usually very quick to respond to any emails received.

Re: Two versions of 16 Aldebaran BFS? Cost of additional spools?

Ill bet the 30mm ct ktf spool will be well under 7g and closer to around 5g. The avail aldebaran spool weighs 4.75g with bearing so im guessing the 30mm spool should be near that. The stock steez ct sv spool weighs 9.38g with factory bearing on my scale and exceeded my expectations on both control a...

Re: (SUL) Super Ultra Light?

The ASC has less capacity than the aldebaran bfs so if the aldebaran seems too bfs specific the ASC will also follow suite. The alphas ct will handle 3g so if that's as low as you plan on going it will be just fine. Once bfs specific spools come out for the 30mm ct spool I believe they will be the n...
