Re: Metanium vs Chronarch

I love my Metanium 13 and MGL.

My 13 had a bit of buzz until I ordered curado gears, not its smooth.

My MGL is came super smooth and I run shimano drag grease in all my reels.

Re: Curado K gears

One question. Do the 13 and MGL Mets both use the same pinion gear? No they don't you have to order the specific one for each reel. Kurt That's odd, the main gear is interchangeable, and both pinions are compatible, but not compatible with the respective reels which can both use the same main gear....

Re: Shimano Loomis Conquest rods

There's a lot of debate over what feeling tip heavy is it seems. Some guys don't even notice something that feels very tip heavy to me, others complain that something is tip heavy that I think feels pretty well balanced  It's not perfectly neutrally balanced at the stem of the reel, but it's n...

What is the definition of tip heavy in your hands? Which Stella?

Basically with the reel mounted on the rod, the rod feels when held like the tip is weighed down "tip heavy"

Stella FJ, I'm wondering about the balance point.

Re: Shimano Loomis Conquest rods

So is that a vote in favour of the 902S? Any impressions you would be willing to share? I am most interested in casting distance, balance with your Stella and sensitivity when dragging jigs or best uses. Thanks Gary! YES! The 902s Conquest has quickly jumped into my "favorite" spinning ro...

Re: pros/cons, steez sv tws, us or jdm model?

I bet they are all made the same, same QC, same line, same workers... :big grin:

All my reels are made in Japan from Japan except my Curado 201I and they are all excellent and I'm very picky
with tolerance, smoothness, power and overall feel.

Baits bloating

Have you seen any of your lures do this?

All mine are good, my guess would be leaving these baits in the boat compartments during extreme heat...

My guess would be Japan only, like the yumeya shallow spool for the metanium 13.

Left hand retrieve only for me, I grew up using spinning reels and always reeled with my left.

I can do both if I had to but I have better feel having the rod in my right hand...

Re: First look at Megabass Destroyer USA rods

What does Daemos mean?

I'm thinking about ordering this rod but what power would it be considered if it was a Gloomis? 3 power MH?

I wish Megabass would make a F4 Destroyer casting rod.

Re: A New Specialty Bait from Roboworm : The Ned Worm

I got a few packs of these, I haven't fished them yet due to winter :crying: Did you fish them as a Ned worm, like 1/16oz or lower to see how they did? When I use a ned rig I cast as far as possible and let it sink, once it hits bottom I just simply reel very slow back to the boat and keep a bow in ...
