Re: Daiwa Steez SV 103XSL

I have five of the right handed retrieve in the XS and five in the H. I have been a Shimano guy for almost 20 years. Within the last year and a half I have fallen in love with these reels and Daiwa reels in general (but more specifically these). I have owned both a Metanium MGL and Chronarch MGL (t...

Daiwa Steez SV 103XSL

What do you guys think of this vs the Metanium 13 and Metanium MGL?

Casting, smoothness and retrieve?

Re: Metanium vs Chronarch

But there is also a new Steez SV in the fleet waiting on its maiden voyage ;) Kurt What model did you order? I chose the SV 103XSL, 8.1 : 1, I fish light line (mostly 8lb) and wanted to try Daiwa's closest version to the Met. XG. but I'm still waiting on the water to soften up! Kurt How does it fee...

Re: Curado K gears

Anyone know if the pinion gear from the curado K will fit into a chronarch MGL without doing a whole gear swap? Mine is getting that geary feeling that we all know and love so much I might be wrong but I believe the chronarch MGL has brass gears all ready... The big drive gear is brass, but the sma...

Re: New 2018 Stella FJ and Bantam MGL

18 bearings, quick change gear ratios, ambidextrous reeling, 2 gram spool that can hold either 40 yards of 5# or 200 yards of 20 with the push of a button, weighs less than 4 ounces with 40# of max drag and fits into a small or extra large hand. Aside of all joking, have you seen those cheap-o inte...

Re: Metanium vs Chronarch

I love my Metanium 13 and MGL.

My 13 had a bit of buzz until I ordered curado gears, now its smooth.

My MGL is came super smooth and I run shimano drag grease in all my reels.

Re: Curado K gears

One question. Do the 13 and MGL Mets both use the same pinion gear? No they don't you have to order the specific one for each reel. Kurt That's odd, the main gear is interchangeable, and both pinions are compatible, but not compatible with the respective reels which can both use the same main gear....
