Re: Deep Cranking Rod

I been using St Croix LTG MH for deep stuff, I have to say its the best cranking rod I have ever used.

I find myself using it even when the crankbait bite is slow.

I use it with SK 6XD 5XD, DT10, Megabass x-300 and x-150, Ima Beast to name a few and it also is amazing for
lipless cranks.

Re: Sunline Xplasma Asegai

It’s not like the TX and PEx8 at all? Those lines frayed so easily. I've only used it twice now but unlike the TX braid there is not a fiber out of place. I could get the TX braid to fray just from getting it snagged on a fingernail, the Xplasm Asegai is very tight woven and is hard to get to fray ...

Re: Conquest 101 doesn’t cast far anymore

How many brakes are you running on your Conquest?
I know that has nothing to do with the problem, I'm just curious...

I'm running on brake on, and its amazing the distance I'm getting.

Re: Sunline Xplasma Asegai

I have the 16lb on my MB Whipsnake for drop shotting. Very thin but wiry IMO but actually surprised by the way it handles on my Daiwa Luvias 2505H. Only few trips out and only used once the jig bite as slowed and so far so good. Tying a fluoro leader can be challenging but the knot comes out clean ...

I think you're right.

I should have been more specific, I'm looking for the best casting megabass rod for tubes.

What would you guys say the best Megabass rod would be for tubes, 1/4oz head in 3.5" coffee tube?

Right now I'm using the NRX 852..

Re: Sunline Xplasma Asegai

I find it curious that after using "the worst braid I have ever used" that you want to try another from the same maker. Just saying. That's why I haven't ordered any yet. Check the reviews on the TX1, it really was horrible stuff. But I do use a lot of sunline products, I love the fluoroc...

Sunline Xplasma Asegai

Anyone get there hands on this braid yet?

I really want to try it out, I tried the Sunline TX1 and it was the worst braid I have ever used and I have tried a lot.

I know and I appreciate it, I was just messing with you above.

This forum wouldn't be the same without you.

Thanks Bantam.

Re: Japanese style bass boats

As I get closer to finishing college or getting a better career, I want a new boat, but unless I hit the lottery or really pick up a heck of a job, a $70,000 Bass Boat is out of the question. Right now I use a john boat but it is pretty wide and overall big. We set 6 bait casting rods on one side a...

Re: Shimano Conquest 101?

I turn them around in 48 hours or less. Plus it will get a full cleaning and service. I think I might be a little better at making the Conquest perform than you ;) No worries, I will just order some new gears, I got a lot of HH parts on this reel. 5 days to get to you, 2 days for turn around then 4...
