Re: School me on round reels

Calcutta Conquest would be my choice.

If you wanted low profile I would go with a Shimano TranX or a Curado 300/301E if you can find one.

I have a curado 301E I use for Muskie and its been perfect....

Re: Drop Shot With Bobber Stops

The bobber stopper won't slip over that knot, if the bobber stopper is the correct size, If I was going to do this I would tie a knot directly under the bobber stopper. What prevented me from doing this is all the bobber stoppers, I want less hardware as possible, I also want my hook to stick direct...

Re: Knot question

This is how I tie the FG knot. Hope I can explain this a way that it makes sense.... I use a pair of hemostats and clamp onto the end of my braid (instead of using my mouth or teeth), I then take the hemostats and tuck them into my belt where it buckles to create tension on the braid, I lean my rod ...

Re: P-Line TCB 8

I've been using it off and on for around 2-3 years now, its excellent line, the yellow is smoother and seems to not flake off like the green does.

If P-Line would just make some yellow in 10lb I would be all over it....

I tried this today, I tried my hardest to get it to slip or budge....its not, its solid

Loaded my spool and its good to go, will see if it slips after some time, but I have confidence that its not moving.

Shallow spool?

I got two spinning reels that have very shallow spools, what are you guys using for backing?

I have always used cheap mono, but with these shallow spools the uni to uni knot it not getting covered completely
with line, I'm only using maybe 3 feet of mono.

Maybe some kinda of tape :-k

Grease recommendation for Daiwa

All my reels are Shimano, I use the oil that comes with the reel and shimano drag grease, but I recently ordered a Daiwa
Steez spinning reel.

What is the OEM grease that Daiwa uses in their reels?

What do you guys use for grease in your Daiwa reels?

Re: Helix 5 chirp si upgrade question

It might be more detailed but with that size of screen it will be tough.

I have the 7 side imaging and did upgrade the transducer, I personally would recommend doing it...
