Even though its super heavy, its still super smooth and made in Japan :) The pearl color is my favorite, I wish Shimano would make a stradic MG model in pearl. I run mine with 2 brakes on and and I turn the number to 2, I have the tension just enough for whatever lure I am using drops slowly. With it set like this you really do need a trained thumb, if I get to excited and cast without thinking I will get a backlash. I have not noticed any distance differe...

Duel hardcore is pretty good line, I sent some to aquaholik to test its knot strength. The problem I had it tying this line using a FG knot to 6lb sunline fluorocarbon. I disagree, it seems the wiry stiffer braids create more sensitivity vs very soft limp braids.

I had a GLX do the same thing except the cork stayed intact.

I used loctite all purpose in clear, so far so good, going on 2 years now...

I have the whipsnake on order, we will see how it compares to the addermine, I will also compare it to the

P-line TCB 8 in 10lb green and 15lb in yellow have been my go to braid.

Fins 40g is also excellent.
