Re: Steez TW ticking sound/vibration
Removed all the original bearings, including the roller bearing, and installed the zillion1000 bearings. No difference at all. Same ticking vibration and very faint sound when the spool is under load. It is not the spool either because i have tried at least 4 different spools :| I suggest using a m...

Re: 2021 steez ags rods
Anyone care to chime in regarding the finesse spinning rod, thinking about it for dragging DS? Any general input regarding experience and applications would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Re: What is your "all around" spinning stick?
Open water then 76 AGS or Conquest 902S, around some grass then I'd vote NRX 852. I guess it is cover dependent

Re: Is the Zillion SV TWS noisy like Tatulas?
Daiwa has the Lexa HD in many ratios with stainless steel gears which should hold up to some Salmon abuse. My preference is to use a large low pro reel for them and the 2 Curado 300E reels I used to use turned really rough with gear noise so I’m going to try the Tranx and Lexa this season. And befor...

Re: 2020 Shimano Twin Power FD
Honestly I think it's just a tolerances/QC thing. I would love to have a completely silent reel but I won't be getting one any time soon if I choose to return the one I bought, since they don't have any on hand that don't have the issue. It would make sense that multiple high end models have this p...

Re: Zillion TW HD
I've been using a JDM version for a while for heavy Jigs and ripping vertical presentations in deep water, I was hesitant to purchase because it seemed like a large reel but turned out pretty comfy after the mega foam handles were swapped out. I have the HLC spool and am not sure if it was really wo...

Re: Steel head Reel questions
The Steez A/Morethan will be great reels for steelhead. I have used a Steez A quite a bit for them and carry an extra spool with braid for bobber fishing if that is the required scene, but I mainly drift fish roe for them with mono. For the larger salmon I have in the past used Curado 300E reels and...

Re: Reel for MB Destroyer FMJ
Currently, I have the new morethan PE 1000 on the FMJ only because it looks better.[/quote] Any reason to go for the morethan over the Steez A other than cosmetics? Do they perform the same? I don't plan to use braid with the reel, I'm more of a fluoro guy - I believe I get more bites that way.[/quo...

Re: Conquest 905C Question
I am looking for a rod that could potentially double as an A-Rig rod and a jig rod. It is rather difficult to find reviews on the 905 and was hoping someone on this forum has some experience with this model. This might be a better moving bait rod versus bottom contact, not sure. I have had some NRX...

Re: Antares 2019?
They are the factory knobs, I've noticed they aren't offering the break out of parts to order knobs too. This newer generation of Shimano knobs seems less prone to issues than the Septon series though so at least I don't feel like what I have will require replacement anytime soon. I have some Yumey...

Re: Antares 2019?
With that Curado handle on the Antares - are they alternative handle knobs? They don't look like any regular knobs off a Curado... Rather like the Tranx knobs / end garnish caps. Its getting hard to get get decent knobs as the new schematics off these new reels are now not BNT numbering their knobs...

Re: Am I stupid to buy a Steez A and swap the spool with my new Morethan?
Hi all, I have the new Morethan that I am using on my heavy Jig rod with 16# Fluro. Great reel and works and looks beautifully with my Steez XBD Frog rod. Only little prob that I have is that the line capacity on the Morethan's stock spool is a bit on the low side. Since I want to get a new reel fo...

Re: Antares 2019?
Nice looking reel! What are you planning to use it for? What line are you running? I have 12# Tatsu on it right now, where to place it is a big question. It will likely begin on an 893 or 854 for a while. Won't be surprised if it ends up on the 854 for small swim baits, spinnerbaits and so on, that...
