They ship through a local courier that has some great deals with UPS etc., hence the good pricing.

Re: Megabass X7 Dropshot rod help

I use the Simooom A LOT for dropshots in 10 - 50 feet of water and I really enjoy it. I had the Aaron Martens DS rod from the X4 lineup before and the Simoom is somewhat faster and so much more sensitive in my hand. I fish with size 2 DS hooks and landed some 15 lbs. northern pike as bi-catches with...

Re: MB X7 AM 71 or a C40 Mephisto

I bought the 71X7 for frogs, but I don't frog much. It's a great frog rod though that is super nice for 3/8 - 1 oz jigs, t-rigs, and other bottom contacts. Mine is paired with an IP79 which matches the rod nicely.

Re: Shimano Lesath Series

I have the new Lesath BX in a 9'0 model with 10 - 30 gram lure range that I use for sea trout fishing with waders right off the beach in Scandinavia. Nice rod overall that performs well in casting distance and it loads well with fish on it. The tip is fast enough to work a lure as well as the rod ha...

Re: Stella FI: Worth it?

I have a 2500 FE and FI and they're both excellent reels worth the money. The new FI is step up from the FE and feels even more refined with more torque somehow. Solid reel that is worth its price.

Re: Type of breakage

What type of breakage does a clean break as opposed to one with fibers hanging out constitute? Just snapped my Super Red Demon and it almost looks like it was cut - nice and clean. How old is the rod and how much has it been used? Much like glass or acrylic, a score in the material will allow it to...

On a side note: How do I remove the epoxy to salvage the guides?

Re: Savage Line THru

I don't like it and gave my mine to a kid. I had the medium sink version with line comming out of the mouth, it doesn't stay down well at all. I believe the heavy will be better as the line comes out of the top of its head similar to a huddleston. It swims well at higher speeds with a large side to ...

Hi Just a heads up if you're thinking of buying it. I've had this rod since it came out and been fishing swimbaits in the 4 - 6 ounce range for a while and the blank seems to work well with these baits, but the handle is just too short with only ca. 12.5" from butt to edge of reel seat. Anyone else ...

Do you consider a Hudd a resistance bait?

Z2020HL and Ryoga 2020L for swimbaits

Hi

Anyone fished 5 ounce swimbaits with both reels for a long enough period to pick a clear favorite? You don't get much resistance form an 8" hudd, so maybe the comfort of a Z and the slightly higher IPT is a benefit.

Very good, you hold the reel foot between the little and the ring finger and put your pointer on the blank. Nice firm grip and no obstacles.

Re: Megabass X7 spinning for dropshot?

I have both the rods you mention and the Simoom is just super sensitive and a better DS rod with its lighter and faster tip. I think it's worth the extra :)
