I bought the 71X7 for frogs, but I don't frog much. It's a great frog rod though that is super nice for 3/8 - 1 oz jigs, t-rigs, and other bottom contacts. Mine is paired with an IP79 which matches the rod nicely.

Anyone fished 5 ounce swimbaits with both reels for a long enough period to pick a clear favorite? You don't get much resistance form an 8" hudd, so maybe the comfort of a Z and the slightly higher IPT is a benefit.
