Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!
I have the MX, regular, and the Ballistic and I have to say that I like the MX the most. My MX BFS setup with a DIY spool is great. Especially because the prices went down so much for the T3 platform. The Ballistic is really a POS compared to the other T3's.

Re: 13 Fishing Concept Z
I honestly think it is a marketing gimmick. From how far bearing have come there is no reason to switch to bushings at all. I'm sure it will sell though because a lot of people will be lured in with the whole zero bearing thing. Although I am crossing my fingers of the possibility that this reel may...

Midwest Finesse Jig Heads
Does anyone have the Do-It mold for this? Also is there a demand for these jig heads if nobody is selling them? If I cant find a more cost efficient jig head I may just end up buying a mold and making it myself, but I want to sell some so I can break even.

Re: Does anyone put wax on their reels?
Hmm this is really interesting. I would definitely put some on my rods just to at least make them easier to clean. Pond fishing setups would really benefit from this too as I always set them down on the ground.

Re: Is it Daiwa, Shimano, or someone else?
I used to be a hardcore daiwa fanboy but after opening up my brother's 13 Met. I am seriously considering switching. I still love the connected feel of my daiwas but shimano's engineering for their reels is extremely impressive.

BFS Braid
Do you guys use backing when using braid for BFS setups? I feel that the backing will take a lot of the spool capacity away. I know I read somewhere that a specific knot with braid will keep it from slipping but I can't find it anywhere.

I had a recent bad experience with this seller. He ignored messages and denied that his description of the reel was wrong. I bought a MINT reel from him and I got a used reel with scratches. Buyer BEWARE.

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!
I just got mine in today. It came with the purple air bearings installed. I never seen or used a BFS spool but my first impressions are that it looks extremely well built. The spool tips are a but dull though so I would recommend polishing them.
