Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis
that's cause the NRX was the largest leap in quality, which hadn't been seen before - or since. we have had increases and improvements since the NRX, but not to the same level of jump the NRX brought the marketplace. if it wasn't for the McReelSeat it would likely be considered the greatest rod rele...

Re: Berkley’s PowerBait Infused Spinnerbaits – The Power Blade Series
thank you Sir.
I didn't realize hand tied meant "non elastic". But now it's making sense in the numerous descriptions I've read for spinnerbaits, jigs, and chatterbaits.
kind of an obvious oversight on my part.

those skirts wire-tied on, or are they elastics?
appreciate the review. looks like a decent spinnerbait.

The E series was the last worth a crap.
After that quality < price.

Re: Hell of a job Shimano Peterborough
sorry, so the reason shimano wouldn't service my Stella was because it wasn't serviced every year prior? Chris advised they wouldn't service the real due to not being able to "open it up". His words. I said there wasn't anything mechanically wrong with it...drag and gears are fine. Just ne...

Re: Hell of a job Shimano Peterborough
speaking of my combo Stella Blue, many years ago Bantam you mentioned to me a product I could get to put over the reel seat to close the gap on the reel seat on the NRX XMR. The Stella B doesn't lock completely down on the XMR. I use some green painters tape around the reel seat ... and it works. I ...

Re: Hell of a job Shimano Peterborough
by the way, the Stella "B" i'm referring to is the one I bought of you cndbasshunter. On my 804 NRX XMR it is the best outfit I've ever fished. I call it Stella Blue (after my favourite Grateful Dead song). It truly is a remarkable reel. The shape you sold it to me in 2014 was absolutely i...

Hell of a job Shimano Peterborough
Just wanted to give a shout out to Chris who performed a fantastic servicing on my two old Curado E's and a Calais with a broken thumb bar release (I know, not a technical term). The Calais was fixed up and turned up. Works perfectly. But my two E7's are working better than when they were purchased....

Re: Disturbing discovery - Poison Adrena 7'4" Heavy
was going to say, at least five of my NRX's look like that.
don't seem to affect the rod in any way.

Re: Shimano Ultegra
the price point on the Ultegra and Saros are very similar.
Maybe Ultegra $20 bucks less.
The tapered bail wire was a very nice option.

Re: NRX reel seat issue...
you don't need to use it for a while.
just put a reel on it with a big(ger) real seat, and lock it down...
the glue will let go.
I had 9 fail on me in total.

Re: NRX reel seat issue...
ahhhh old Bantam and his 1% / 2% failure report. NRX reel seat issues will continue to pop up until every rod from the original four runs (that is how many tries they made to correct, before it actually was corrected) is damaged and replaced. SHIMANO SHOULD have done a recall....but well....that's a...

Re: Conquest DC fails on cold weather?
I've run my original Calais DC in weather as cold as -5 (Celsius).
No issues.
I would be interested in hearing Shimano's response to this thread.
