Re: Daiwa Alphas sv105 spool upgrade

http://www.tackletour.net/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=77331 Of note is Pike's post about running the ito spool. That's one I've thought about as well. In general, it seems non-sv spools in SV reels run pretty fast. I haven't had the best luck doing it the other way around (SV spools in pre-sv reels). O...

Re: Megabass Orochi XX... What’s next for the USDM??

I am now at liberty to get some better details out regarding the new XX series. please bear with me in that I can't tell every little detail quite yet but here is an early overview of the changes and additions. The blank is gonna be totally new. Can't share specific details on it other than the pro...

Re: RYOGA, BANTAM MGL OR ALDEBARAN MGL???!!

That new Ryoga is badass! 2 sizes available too. I'd choose it over a Calcutta. Definitely would choose it over the old Ryoga. (And your other listed choices, especially for peacock bass).

Loving those knobs.
Are they pretty comfy? Do you prefer the feel of the slim knobs or regular size?

Re: Normark Shines Once Again with new Rapala and VMC Offerings

That brat crankbait design looks identical to Anglers republic(AR lures) crank 50. I wonder if rapala bought the rights to it :-k Great little crankbait with unique design. (Yuki Ito thought so highly of the internals of AR's larger 1/2oz crank, he used the design for the MB S-crank  ). I'l...

Re: Best jighead for Keitech Easy Shiner 4"?

I fish em on these style weighted hooks-

Keeps em horizontal when swimming & on the fall. But I swim em, never tried hopping them on the bottom like a jig.

Re: Greenfish Chibi finesse jig

Good to hear! These should be a little higher grade with gamakatsu hooks. I'm a big fan of Shin, seems all the products he has a hand in really feature notable upgrades of his design, not just slapping his name on stuff like some brands/pro's do

Re: PhotoBucket has ruined TT

Would it take up more server space to just have auto resizing here on TT? I feel like that would solve everything, at least for folks who just want to upload a pic from their phone or don't want to fool with photo hosting sites. I'm not tech savvy so I don't know if that uses additional space, but.....

Re: Is anyone else dissapointed in Icast '17?

I think this was an awesome year for spinning reel users, they got some really nice reels this year. There was a handful of cool lures I'll be trying, mostly from the Japanese companies. I didn't see any rods of interest. I don't fish split grip rods, so that rules out 95%+ of the rods I saw at Icas...
