Re: Sub $200 bottom contact rod
Another vote for the Tatula. I was so impressed with the flippin stick, I decided to change out my whole line up to Tatulas. I just have 2 more rods to go!

Re: Tatula Spinning Rods
Thanks for the input. I am torn between the 6'11 and the 7'1" ML rods. Not sure which way I am going to go yet. I just bought one of the moderate action Tatula rods but I have not fished it yet. From what I hear, they make very good crankbait rods. I am going to pull the trigger on the 7'2" MH glass...

Tatula Spinning Rods
I'm looking for some reviews on the Tatula spinning rods. I am basically wondering how it would stack up with a Dobyns DX 702sf. This is my drop shot rod and I have gone to all Tatulas except for this one rod. I know the casting rods I have rival the DX for sensitivity but I have never owned a Daiwa...

Re: Tatula Casting 6'10'' Med Hvy
I have one I haven't used yet. I bought it for throwing spinnerbaits. It is super light and very crisp feeling. I think this thing will be an awesome stick.

Those Habervision goggles look pretty sweet! I might have to grab a pair of those. Thanks for the heads up on these.

20# Tatsu or Invisix. I have had no problem flipping with either.

Re: Daiwa Lexa 100HSL
The Lexa will do what you are wanting it to do. At the price, especially some of the sale prices now on them, they would be hard to beat. I bought a few when they first came out. Pretty good for a sub $100 reel. I would look at a Tatula if you want to spend a little more. They are phenomenal reels. ...

Re: Is it Daiwa, Shimano, or someone else?
I have been a Daiwa guy for a long time. And now that I have Tatulas, I don't see that changing for a long time. Love these things!

Re: Save Phace
Mine fogs up as well. I even emailed the company about this and since I had a pretty old mask, he said that the new lenses were better. They sent me one free of charge but it still fogs up. I bought my mask right when they first came out. I will wear it when I am riding with my buddy, but I couldn't...

Re: LAMIGLAS INFINITY
I use mine for light football heads, up to 1/2oz with a hula grub or similar bait. I think 1/2 oz is as much as this rod will take. I love the rod, but I am now toying with the idea of selling it and getting another rod. I am kind of on a Tatula kick lately. I think I might benefit by having a littl...

Re: LAMIGLAS INFINITY
I have the 724 which is the medium. When I purchased this when they first came out it was rated as a MH. I first ordered the Medium, but quickly realized it was way too under powered for what I was wanting it for. I sent it back and got the 724 and I use mainly for 1/4-1/2 oz football heads with hul...

Re: Lamiglas Infinity rod ratings?
I would get the "Heavy" Infinity if you are used to your 704. Sensitivity is very, very close IMO. They are very sensitive sticks.

Re: Lamiglas Infinity rod ratings?
Depends on what type of jig fishing you are doing. I have the 724 and use it for 1/2oz football heads with hula grubs and beavers for smallmouth. This is perfect for this technique and will handle lighter weights very nicely. If you are wanting to pitch 1/2oz jigs into cover, then I would get the ne...
