Re: FENWICK AETOS available on 8-7-12
Fenwick Fly REELS are one year. Believe me I am a short drive from Spirit lake and currently have 37 Fenwick Rods. HMX and Eagle have always been 5 year. HMG and above are lifetime warranty. Some of the discontinued rods that have lifetime warranty's are; METHODS, HMG AV, TECHNA AV, Elite Tech-Bass...

Re: Ande Premium/Tournament
I purchased it once and never again. The line was very stiff and was very hard to handle on my reel. Maybe it was a bad batch but my experience with it was so bad I prob won't try it again. Just an update about this line...I've since then switched to CX, a co-polymer line. I don't really see a poin...

Re: FENWICK AETOS available on 8-7-12
I guess the Pure Fishing guy lied according to this quote? I just got off the phone with Fenwick Canada (Pure Fishing) and the warranty guy told me that all new fenwick rods now only have a 1 year warranty on them. He said in the past Fenwick used to offer a lifetime warranty then they went ...

Re: FENWICK AETOS available on 8-7-12
Would have loved to see some Light action rods for trout/salmon/steelhead...what's up with companies not making light action multi-purpose rods (Shimano, I'm looking at you) Check out the Fenwick Elite Tech River Runners and Elite Tech Salmon/Steelhead for light action rods. Yes and yes ! How do yo...

Replacement fly reel handles?
Anyone know if there is a place to buy replacement handles? The handle on my Evolution LT is just too small for me, and I'd love to be able to "pick out" a new handle? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Rod for Smallmouth
I think a 7 wt would be your best bet. It's beefy enough to toss some bigger flies, yet soft enough not to feel like a broom stick while throwing some smaller flies. I personally think casting a longer rod is easier (My 10' 7 wt Hydros casts itself) but then again, it also has great line on it, SA S...

GoPro videos fly and spin fishing
With Fall fishing for landlocked salmon and steelhead in VT finally heating up, I'm putting my HD Hero 2 GoPro to use and uploading some videos! Some on my page are ones from last year I've recorded with my phone. Any questions, feel free to PM me on here or youtube, or even comment here. I wouldn't...

Re: Best $100 rods?
I don't think you can beat the HMG from Fenwick with the parameters you set but there is an option even lower and that is the Fenwick HMX, not the new ones that are just coming out but the ones already on shelves. You can find them for like 70 dollars and they feel very nice as is the Fenwick Silve...

Re: sunline super natural vs seaguar senshi
So after a while of using it, I noticed that normal fishermens(advanced clinch) will sometimes break relatively easy, so people should be aware of that. A Trilene knot however, worked great....I decided that the line wasn't worth it for me since I was just so used to hi-vis line. Hopefully they make...

Re: Thermoplastic(Orvis) vs Konnetic(Sage)
So, how about a Sagevis rod? Wrap the Konnetic blanks in Thermoplastic!? On a more serious note, I've just got into fly fishing, and own a 10' 7 wt Hydros and just wondered how it was compared to Sages One. I am looking to get a 5 wt before Spring and kind of want to pick up a Sage One since ...
