Re: SV Boost in older Daiwa reels?
I was getting a sticky inductor on my z2020 all April. Really annoying. Removed it, cleaned it, put a small drop of oil on the shaft, and now its never getting stuck. I tried the same, still intermittent sticking. Bummer, seemed like a promising spool. I will do some maintenance on my spool when I ...

9-8, 22.5" on an aliexpress chatterbait with a fat impact 4" trailer. For perspective, the rear grip on the 7'H Days rod is 12". https://i.postimg.cc/023V7YCz/20240427-104521.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/x8G9LfwC/20240427-104617.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/br4w9VJC/20240427-104631.jpg Nice. Re: SV Boost in older Daiwa reels?
After reading this thread, I'm thinking some of these SV Boost spools may have sticky inductors. I have a SV Boost PE 1000 that I put inside of my Millionaire SW 103 and it was touch and go on the water yesterday, my first trip with that spool. Sometimes it cast beautifully, sometimes I was rewarde...

Re: SV Boost in older Daiwa reels?
Why would you need stronger magnets? If the spool works in a reel with stronger braking force, it will work on the steez103, its just gonna be faster inside a steez than something like the tdz. Pretty sure it’s the same reason why the zpi nrc001 spools didn’t play well with the older daiwas. Too li...

Alphas SV TW 800S upgrades
IMG_2264.jpg Why doesn't Daiwa put a SLP works handle nut plate like this on the reel from the start? It looks so much better than the cheap plastic one that comes on it. I added four handle bearings and a set of Super High Grip I-Shape knobs also. So much better and simple clean looking. My chi wa...

Re: SLP Knobs
I was on Digitaka looking at knobs, and clicked on the RCS I-shape knob link. They accidentally put a new SLP knob in there...'blue sun burst'. The second pic on digitaka shows the depth of color. I ordered mine...the limited knobs go fast. https://www.digitaka.com/item/4/12/100/4560454391681 That ...

Re: 3/4oz Topwater walking rod Suggestion
Something 6'9'" MH fast action with a short enough rear grip to clear your bicep (9.5 inches for me). I've got a couple of custom rods that I built for larger topwater/jerkbaits that are this size. The bigger guys that fish out of a boat that is higher off of the water can get away with longer rods/...

Re: SV Boost in older Daiwa reels?
Not seeing why it wouldn't be great. I was just using my steez103 with a steez sv tw spool, and it was great. Is the Steez SV TW spool a boost spool? Its not. I had the boost spool from the 21 zillion, but traded the spool for an mg-002 spool from a bud before i even had the chance of trying it. Th...

Re: How Old is 3" Bass?
I thought you might be one of the guys on here that has mentioned that he fished DVL. Yesterday, I caught a bunch of the fat 8" bass that DarkShadow referenced in his post. Those are probably from last year because the are so fat and healthy. It's possible that they could be from two years ago in a...
