Re: SLP Works Zaion Screwless

Bumping this back up to the top to confirm whether or not the screwless design can be retrofitted to the Z2020? I’m trying to dress mine up a little and like the screwless ones available more than the traditional. I havent done that exact swap, so I cant say for sure, but the SS SV and Alphas SV 10...

Re: What's the floor price on reels?

Going through Amazon . jp has worked great for me, and the checkout process was identical to the US version. Everything was accurate, correct, and shipped quickly

Re: Auction site gems

A very nice TDZ 100M just went up on that site, with a good BIN OBO. Not my listing and I’ve already got two of them, but it’s a really clean reel for the price of essentially the handle and spool.

Re: RC-002S ZPI Techno Formula

What's a purple one work with no box? There is a TDZ Ito with one in it for $300 I am eyeing. If it’s the one I’m thinking of that seller fell through on a sale for me. Not sure if it was a timing thing with everything going on in the world or what, just make sure you’re covering yourself with PayP...

Beautiful setup Jorrick!
Thanks Brother
Those carbon knobs kinda “pop” with it.
Those knobs look familiar, glad they’re put to good use!

Re: Trash customs

Bumping this thread back up with my own contribution. I’ve got another reel to add at some point, but this will do for now. The ITÖ 103 reel started me on JDM reels many years ago, and I always longed for one but at that point they were unobtainable for me. So my runner up was the original purple Al...

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!

Awful picture, still haven’t quite figured out how to upload great ones on here, but this was a fun way to start a quick morning trip. Third cast of the day. Fish slurped that Lates so softly I honestly thought it was just an aggressive ‘gill. I’ve been fishing out of my Bonafide RS117 a lot the las...

Re: Silly Frog reel question

The reel would absolutely be capable, the biggest concern I would have is IPT. You’re a righty if I recall correctly, so you’ll be limited to the 6.3:1 gear ratio in the Fuego. I am currently using a thrashed LH Itö 103 for frogging with the same gear ratio and although it’s done well I do find myse...

Re: Do you want Daiwa to keep on using the T-Wing on everything they release?

I tend to palm reels with the index finger of my palming hand around the front plate of the reel, with the line running out of the line guide and over the top of it. I do this primarily with bottom-contact techniques, for some reason it translates to better sensitivity in my mind, if not in reality....

Re: Frog Rod that’s not 7’

Legit Design makes a really interesting 6’9” rod designed around frog fishing. Arundel Tackle imports then into the US and provides a stateside warranty, they also have a video briefly covering that particular sub-model. Re: Spinnerbait question

I throw lighter baits on a 6’6” medium action St Croix Premier and heavier on a 6’6” MH first generation Daiwa Cielo. Both have a rotating reel problem, as I tend to acquire reels and mess around with them a lot more than rods. I’ve really been enjoying an OG purple Alphas for lighter baits and a TD...

SV Boost Spools Released?

https://www.instagram.com/p/CKbRnbysPtp/?igshid=yuxosj2pel2w According to my limited understanding of this translation, it looks like we might be able to already secure SV boost spools independent of a body for retrofitting into the 34MM platform 8-[ On a separate note, is there any confirmation th...

Re: Dream baitcaster

Off the top of my head: Light weight but metal frame and handle side plate Smooth drag Magnetic braking system, preferably with a fairly fast spool. Brass gears Some sort of color involved other than silver, black, or red. I’d settle for a TD ITÖ with full gear ranges and the foot chopped to allow a...

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!

Bumping this up to the top, there’s now a pretty well priced aluminum drag star available for Daiwa. It’s the screwless design from what I can tell, but still interesting 🤔 https://m.aliexpress.com/item/1005001943758691.html?spm=a2g0n.productlist.0.0.638f3ac9yCIz3i&browser_id=15c3e1215a93486bbe2bd9b...
