I normally turn my hat backwards first then wrap the line around my biceps and flex and that does the trick. I saw Stallone do that in “Over The Top”.

Re: Spinning reel knob replacement

I like the Shimano knobs that come on the 2500 and smaller sized reels like on the Stradic FK. That's what I replace mine with. Hope this helps!

The MajorCraft Speedstyle 6'8" MH is worth checking out in my opinion.

I think the Steez A might be the closest thing we get to a Z1016

Re: Stella 2500 FE Knob Replacement

Thanks Bantam1 and Slazmo for the info! :D Let me try it again, looking at the schematics of all the reels I might have placed the shims in the wrong spot. Will try to place it under the bearing under the screw versus the bottom to see if that changes things.

Re: Stella 2500 FE Knob Replacement

The T knob post is slightly longer and usually will not accept the standard paddle. This is why you probably had issues with a different knob. I am not sure if the handles from a newer model Stella will fit your reel, such as from the FI or FJ model we offer now. I'll ask one of the engineers if he...

Stella 2500 FE Knob Replacement

Hi Bantam1/TT, Is there a barrel/septon type knob that is a direct replacement for the stock T knob on a Stella 2500 FE? I tried one off a Stradic FK I think but I couldn't get it shimmed properly and the knob cap would not sit properly either (was able to push it past the top of the knob so it was ...

Re: Daiwa certate

This reel had me until I found out how much it weighed. Does anyone else have problems with newer spinning reels being too light? They feel great on a rod but once I actually fish it and have a line out working a lure on the other end it wears me out/kills my wrist. Could just be me though

Re: Metanium DC thoughts?

According to some of the iCast videos I've seen like on tackle warehouse the metanium DC is a new version this year. Is that correct? My assumption is it's different than the 2015 version. Also I bought one around Xmas and I tried to open the side plate to adjust which type of line I'd be using and...

Re: Looking for a rod recommendation (shakey head, weightless worms, jerkbaits)

For the shakey and weightless worm, the NRX 893 is king in my hand. 12# FC ideal but it will protect 10#. the jerkbait though is something I throw on a 6'3 to 6'6 rod more so for retrieve. I could live with the 893 but not sure the length would ever suite me on the jerkbait. Before the 893, I was a...

Not sure if they are discontinued either but Tacklewarehouse seems to have quite a few in stock.
