I have recently leveled mine up a bit for my swimbait game. Morethan necessary? Absolutely.

Re: GLX reel seats

I tried a casting rod and found the reel seat a little cramped, like my hand didn't have enough room on the underside of the seat. Could just be the way I hold my rods/reels though. What reels were you using on it? The only reel I tried was a Metanium. Holding the rod without a reel felt a little t...

Re: Japan Fishing Show 2020 Predictions

I say this every year for the last 5 or so years. I want a Z1016. That's it. Don't care about anything else since what's currently available is already perfectly fine. Give me a small Z made out of magnesium, without the twing, micro gears from the newer ryoga and charge whatever you want for it, i...

Been fancying the Zillion frame as of late, so hunted down what I think are the prettiest ones...

Re: Favorite EWG Flipping Hook

The Owner Wide Gap Plus and Gamakatsu Superline hooks get my vote. Granted the cover I usually run into may not be super heavy but those hooks are sharp and stout in my experience.

Re: Megabass Vision 110 - Best Color?

This is my new favorite 110 color. I know, a 110 any colorways can catch 'em, but it's all about confidence and this one has mine. It's called GG Shad and looks about as close to a real baby bass as I've seen in a 110. It's part of the "Respect" color series MB has had out recently. Found them at h...

Re: A Lesson Worth Sharing

I’m kinda baffled, you can’t be mentioning premium and then turning a blind eye on price :-s Also, I wouldn’t necessarily utilize “mass production” and then slip in Luxxe into the mix  I see lots of subjectivity in your post, which is perfectly fine, but a lot needs to be taken into account ...

Re: Dog X Quick Walker vs Speed Slide

If I am not mistaken, the Speed Slide is supposed to have a wider side to side walking pattern compared to the Quick Walker. I have both and have a hard time telling the difference myself haha

Re: KALEIDO INSPIRARE TKIC-610H Gunslinger

I picked up the Gunslinger not too long ago actually (I couldn't resist the name  ) but have only used it a couple of times so far. From my limited time with it, it will make a great close to mid range rod for pitching/skipping which I figured what its intended for. That thing has got some meat...

I throw jerkbaits on the exact same rod, I also throw jerkbaits on it, and sometimes more jerkbaits!
Great rod, you won't be disappointed.

The Major Craft Speedstyle Spinning rods might be a good match. They are slightly above your price range but they do go on sale periodically. Could be worth checking out :D

If that's the actual price for the Steez AGS my vote goes for that no doubt.

Re: Daiwa Lexa LT

I received my 2500 in the mail today. First impressions are its a nice reel for the price. Seems very well built with a light smooth retrieve plus it looks pretty sharp with the silver and black color scheme. I was looking for a reel for light saltwater use (because my friends keep bugging me to go ...
