Re: Relaxing/Rounding Out Cork Handles?

I have gotten some dents out of cork by placing a damp cloth on the affected area and then put an iron on steam setting on the cloth for a few seconds at a time and it got the dents out. Not sure if it will work in your situation but worth a try?

Re: Tube rod

The Megabass Levante Enforcer whenever they are back in stock is a great rod How is it?? Have you compared it to other rods I have fished legend elites as well but like this rod a little better. Less sensitive than the elite but still very good and to me more comfortable. I should have said earlier...

Re: Any recourse for DHL package not delivered?

This happened to me once with a reel also ordered from Japan although it was USPS. The shipper actually sent to the wrong address (not sure how that happened) and perhaps the same thing might have happened here? It took me a bit to figure it out but are you able to check where the package was delive...

Re: Tatula Elite vs Steez A

Zillions have brass gears whereas Steezes (is that the right way to say more than one Steez? Lol) have aluminum/aluminum alloy gears which may also contribute to how the reel's retrieve may feel

Re: Do You Have A Favorite Cheap Rod?

Dobyns Sierra 735c. In my hands is light, has good sensitivity (more than the Champion to me in both aspects) and balances/fishes well with pretty much any reel. Very versatile too, fished baits from shaky heads to swimbaits throughout its weight rating in various types of cover and have caught a bu...

Re: Tatula Elite vs '20 tatula sv

Also depends on what you want to do with the reel. I have a long cast and it seems to be great for trying to bomb 3/8, 1/2 oz and up lures. Tried to pitch and cast lighter stuff just to see how it behaves and it doesn't seem to like either in my experience.

Re: Kistler Carbon Handles - Experiences?

Curious as well, was just looking at the custom builds and the carbon grips myself this morning. Did some searching and they do seem to be the ones produced by NFC. Wonder if the "soft touch" is similar to others where its like a thin layer of rubber applied over the handle.

Re: Do you keep back up reel

I'm guilty of this  and I often end up using the "backups" to test with other lines and rods. Funny you posted this subject, I was literally just going through my gear trying to organize it and realized I may have a few too many and should probably start selling some of it clear to up some spa...

Re: The Best Swimbait Rod

Megabass XX Leviathan is worth checking out. I never really got into swimbaiting because the equipment felt too cumbersome but to me that rod is pretty sick. Never thought an 8 foot rod could feel that light and balanced

Re: Daiwa Tatula SV TW

How is the casting distance versus the last gen? Does it feel choked off at the end of the cast like the last one can sometimes?

Thanks!
