Re: Do you keep back up reel

I'm guilty of this  and I often end up using the "backups" to test with other lines and rods. Funny you posted this subject, I was literally just going through my gear trying to organize it and realized I may have a few too many and should probably start selling some of it clear to up some spa...

Re: The Best Swimbait Rod

Megabass XX Leviathan is worth checking out. I never really got into swimbaiting because the equipment felt too cumbersome but to me that rod is pretty sick. Never thought an 8 foot rod could feel that light and balanced

Re: Daiwa Tatula SV TW

How is the casting distance versus the last gen? Does it feel choked off at the end of the cast like the last one can sometimes?

Thanks!

Re: Rod for Steez

From my experience the Steez was too light to fish with the FMJ for an extended period of time. To me the FMJ felt better with a heavier reel

Re: New Megabass Destroyers

It looked like the rods are using a new reel seat design with an even smaller trigger :(

The hookup tackle is posting videos in their Instagram story from the show in japan. Some very cool stuff, including the new destroyer rods

Who knows, maybe Jared got cut. I don't think he's ever won anything has he? Who is on Shimanos pro staff other than a mart?
Keith Combs
Scott Martin uses Metaniums looks like.
Think David Walker, Luke Clausen, and JVD also

Re: Kistler 2020 prices up!

i scanned the site after seeing this thread. Looks to me the HE's are on a new blank?? The cost question seems to be secondary. I have many positive posts about my HE3 but these rods don't appear the same blank so until we get someone fishing them who knows. zbone looks on the same blank but they c...

Re: Any 2020 Shimano reel leaks.....

from the video im going to guess the new met. if it is a solid body design like the bantam it should be really comfortable to palm. if it was a bantam dc would it have the open svs adjustment like the one in the video has? ive noticed most of the dc reels do not have that on the side plate of the r...

Re: Medium Heavy Spinning Rods

How heavy is the cover you're fishing? Power shotting is a primary technique for me on the Delta. I will use casting or spinning, depending on my mood. Of the rods you've listed, I'd go for the 843 GLX. However, there is no need to limit yourself to those choices. My personal rod at this moment is ...

Re: Basszone handle knobs

Ha, glad I'm not the only one. I've tried removing the shields, shimming both sides of each bearing, using 2 bearings on top or bottom, shorter screws...can't get em to work unless I loosen the heck out of the screw. I am not familiar with these knobs so this is a shot in the dark but maybe try tho...
