The assumption that the handle is "rubbery" is incorrect. They have a Monocoque handle with a clear silicone type material that has an abstract or splattered pattern which is part of the handle, not just sprayed on the surface. It will hold up better to the harsh climate that you live in vs EVA or ...

I think you have the new model, the new models say SCV but are reinforced with SCVI in the lower section of the rod. It also has TET its just not listed. Hi All, I need to special order this St Croix Legend Elite 7'6"and it took 1 1/2 months to reach at the local tackle shop, and when I received it last week.... and I was so shocked when I saw SCV, Not VI and No TET... :( After 2 days, the local tackle shop got the info from St Croix Malaysia Distrib...

Just ordered the 2000D from Singapore. Total cost was $228 shipped. I was extremely excited because on the website it mentioned a 12/1 bearing configuration. Fished with my new Conquest 902S this past weekend. My initial impressions in comparison to my NRX 902S: Sensitivity: Likely the same between the two rods. The Conquest might have been a "hair" more sensitive, but not enough to be definitive. The perceived difference could have been "expectation". ...

For sale posts aren’t a very good way to determine who’s happy with their Conquest rods. If that was the case those Megabass rods must be junk with as many of those that are for sale on here. For me, it took a little while to figure out what I liked and didn’t like in both the NRX and Conquest line...
